lol "Utilizes Seagate flash management technology to deliver SSD-like performance".

i had one of these in my laptop and it was pathetic. its nowhere near SSD performance

Yeah, these will barely hit 7200RPM speeds.

They won't at all, its a 5400rpm drive

        • thanks for the review, i can quickly close this page.

    • Do you even know how SSHD works….. Only programs that are being used constantly on the drive will become fast.

Fine for PS3 & PS4, but average for anything else.

  • To be honest, these things aren't bad if you want slightly snappier performance upgrading from a HDD on a laptop. But given how cheap SSDs are these days, you might as well just get a real SSD. You can almost get a 256GB one for the price of this after including shipping and exchange rates.

These drives are the best answer for a particular situation:

    a) you have a laptop with a single 2.5" bay and no mSATA, and
    b) you want significantly more than 250GB space in it but don't need more than 1TB, and
    c) your drive budget is $100ish, not $250-500ish for a 500GB-1TB SSD.

    • Could add a ssd and also add a hdd by removing the optical drive and replacing with a caddy if it supported by your model

  • I have got one of these. It is not bad. I have upgraded from 5400rpm stock HDD to 7200rpm Hybrid. It made a big improvement. It is definitely faster than standard 5400rpm drive.

Windows bootup speed was hugely improved.
