Card Members must register by saving this offer to this Card and spend $250 or more on their registered Card in-store or online at Myer, in one or more transactions, between 13/11/14 and 10/12/14 to receive one $50 statement credit.

          Used my ANZ card for the Dan Murphy deal and I didn't receive the email confirmation from them but did receive my statement credit so don't worry. You can always call Amex to check if you have met the criteria but don't tell them you bought the gift cards of course

      I find amex deals work best for me if i register for the deal then buy the following day.
      (only have issues if purchased same day- but amex has always come thru when emailed)

        Yea I sorta got excited to see that I could register my Westpac AMEX too (browsing ozbargain while walking around in shopping centre), so I registered and bought them.. then realised in T&C it did mention to purchase next day, but Myer doesn't refund gift cards.
        I checked my credit card this morning, and the $250 hasn't hit the statement yet, so I think that's a good sign.

    I got David Jones Amx card and I successfully registered from the link (get the confirm letter). But when I check the B. Eligible Cards, it said "The following are not Eligible Cards: Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesaler partner, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Corporate Cards and David Jones Store card. "

    David Jones Storecard is not the same as Amex DJ card.
    Regardless if you have the acceptance you are in.
    They cannot change the terms and conditions after you have registered

    Having both an Amex issued card and a bank issued card. I have noticed that with the Amex issued card I will receive a email within a minute or two once an eligible registered transaction has been completed. I then get the money back on my card within a few days. With bank issued Amex, I don't get any email but get the money back on my card within the same timeframe.

    Never had a problem with an AMEX promo, most of the time it is buying gift cards - so I expect buying Myer cards here would net the same result.

    This morning I used my Commonwealth issue Amex card bought $250 gift card until now got no receive any confirmation email. Before I make my purchased, I make a refund $9.95 for my last week purchased,dont know because of this reason, system think I spend less than $250 so I do not qualify for this promotion. :(

          The rules clearly states that gift cards are excluded so don't hold your breath waiting for a rebate.
          Amex told me today that if the seller records the transaction as a gift card they can indeed identify it as a gift card purchase and will refuse the rebate.
          Also a straight $250 purchase is very easy to identify and check.
          Safer to make another small purchase at the same time if attempting to beat the system.

          @aiyoyo: I agree with amelyn, just wait for 5 days…..plenty have reported that they haven't received the email only to receive the cashback later. Check out the Dan Murphy's deal if in doubt.

    Has anyone tried purchasing a Myer item costing more than $500 using 2 or more Amex cards rather than purchasing with gift cards. I assume that the item would show as a standard purchase and the $50 rebate credit will be paid for each Amex card used. Any comments? I'm also hoping that Myer will pricematch against OW.

      Should be no problem at all and will be honored by Amex if you miss out
      If the OW price is below their so called "cost" they will not price match and have no obligation to do so.

    Got registration email confirmation within an hour of sign up.
    Went to Myer and spent $250 on sunday.
    Still no e-mail confirming $50 rebate…

    Done for all 3 ANZ Cards. Here's a tip. You dont have to purchase 1 single Gift card. You can break it up. Example 5 X $50 or 1 x $200 + 1 x $50. This is so you can use them as Xmas presents.
