Ok price…only about %15 under retail. You could get this price anywhere with a bit of haggling but for those who hate to haggle, it's an ok deal…not voting +ve though

I guess…but it's not a bargain compared to the Samsung Full HD for about the same price.
At 32" the quality difference between 1080p and 720p is barely noticeable, furthermore, just because this is on special does not mean you cannot haggle the price down further.
Being fairly fussy if you don't consider 15% under retail on a great brand LCD to be a bargain. Each to their own.

But I reckon you can easily get 15% off the RRP of an LCD any day. And I agree that the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 32" isn't noticeable with distances > about 1.5m. 1080 would be good if you were using it as a PC monitor. :D

It's a fair deal (which is why I'm giving it a positive), but I still think the deals offered on the Samsung models previous to this offered better value and performance for the money.
Still Panasonic is a very established and strong brand and yeah it's a decent price. I reckon 799 would've hit the spot myself.
The same one is on special for $888 at RT Edwards, so good find. Only shame is that it's not full HD, but because it's a more reputable brand in some ways it's hard to seperate it from those other brands like Samsung that are full HD for similar price, or today I saw that the 32" Sanyo (pretty sure it's full HD too) is only 600-700 odd at Big W. I think I'd still choose the Samsung/Sanyo over this but I think it's still a good deal nonetheless.
Samsung is a/the leading brand in LCD TV's and they literally spend billions each year on R&D…I don't think Panasonic even makes their own panels. This is an ok deal by itself but the Samsung is much better.
Great TV. Great picture. The SD card slot is really handy.
I went and bought this TV from JB yesterday. I tried to bargain, but the most they would drop it down to was $830. They said it was already at cost. I'd be interested to know if anyone was able to buy this for any cheaper than $830
