      I don't understand why manufacturers skimp out on screen resolution, 1080p is very noticeable over a 768p display.

      Wow didn't know they made Kirabooks with this resolution. Thought the whole appeal was the 2560x1440 :/

      Not sure a $1279 laptop with this kinda res is the best buy, although the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is nice.

      I mean 1366x768 isn't terrible if you're not doing lots of multitasking on a few windows and don't really need the real estate i guess.

    I picked up the i7 full hd version at Jb hifi 3 months ago for 1400. Great laptop

      What was the advertised price? I'm setting my sights on the version you bought, and the price you paid is about my budget too. Just hoping a deal will come up before the end of january (when i need it by).

    The best version is the 2560x1440 version, but it was well over $2k.

        Yep, that's why I said was. Your deal is a much better bargain than this one. I was looking at them late last year. Went MBP instead.
