Great price. Have been watching the price dropping for a while now.
I want to buy one for a 2011 macbook pro. Is this compatible? Any additional parts are required?

    Thanks

    • yes its compatible

      • Thanks

    • I also want to do this and I have a Macbook Pro from 2007 (17" version), here is the link http://support.apple.com/kb/sp13

I have researched this before and it seams that this will not be a problem with most SSD's, but I would like to know for certain in regards to this drive?

      Thanks!

      • +2

yup - it will be compatible.

$115 at MSY excluding delivery or dealing with a visit to MSY…

was on special for $104 plus $1 more for Sandisk USB, I am awaiting on SAMSUNG Deal…

      • +3

The $104 ssd from msy was the Ultra II not the Ultra plus.

And the Ultra II is faster than the plus model. Making this feel like a bit of an average deal (unless you dont live near an msy)

Good thing i got one from msy :D

        • good on you. does Sandisk come with software for HDD to SSD? I know Samsung comes with software, so I am awaiting for a good deal of SamSSD.

        • @maxall: sandisk ultra II did not come with software.

        • +1

lucky I got 4 from MSY deal ;)

Sandisk ultra plus use MLC nano that's better than TLC ?

  • What is the difference betweeen the Samsung Tab S 10.5 SM-T800NZWAXAR and SM-T800NZWAXSA ?

    • cheapsk8t
did you find out what the difference was?
It seems like most of the big retailers (JB, TGG) are selling the SA model

      • +1

The WAXAR appears to be the US version and basically not sold in Australia. So possibly a grey import.

Same specs as far as I can tell but might have slight differences in Wifi bands supported as an example.

I won't complain with the frenzy price provided.
But anyway just want to state the fact that most of the people got issue with this hard drive.
After 1 weeks - 6 months this SSD died, eventhough the performance is great.

Not trying to bring down the party here OP, but I'm just trying to be helpful here to other customer

  • a rookie question, i have a 2~3 year old macbook pro 13 inches. Dual core cpu and 4gb of ram. and my laptop has been really slow during normal operation, is there a point of upgrading to SSD? does it reduce the lags?
    thanks

  • With the Intel NUC Celeron, ha anyone used these as a standard desktop machine, and did they work fine?

    • +2

It will work well for "light" application usage (documents, web browsing, watching videos etc) with Windows or Linux.

      • yeah I set my mum up with one, windows 8.1 on an SSD. she just uses it for web, photos, emails, office. It's great for that.

  • anyone know where a 750GB samsung evo is ? they seem the best bang for buck (if u can find them)

  • FEAST coupon code not working?

  • bugger… missed out on the nuc as feast coupon not working anymore.

  • arrived yesterday thank you
