  • what about the i5 NUC? or Brix

  • +3

Great price on the I3 Nuc, the Thinkpad 8 is also $130 under Lenovo website price (which is also discounted $90). If it were a discount on the 4G 128Gb model I probably would have jumped on this.

  • the NUC price arent too bad, but I dont have those new DDRL rams. so i will pass. :)
however, any one willing to flock 90 for 8GB DDR3L extra on top of the price, it is a good deal

  • ~$465 incl shipping (to NSW) for the i3 NUC with 8GB of kingston RAM and 120 GB Sandisk extreme II SSD… Sounds pretty good.

      Hi Moots,

NAS servers are in the pipeline. Should be within 1 to 2 weeks time so do you have any particular model you want us to consider featuring?

      Cheers
      SE

I'd be interest in the N54; bundled with a hard drive and an SSD deal as well to use for the boot; but as long as it's cheaper than previously posted!

        • Hi Moots,

Just giving you a headsup, the N54L is not going to previous price again unless we've been offered a crazy deal from HP (which does not seem likely at this stage). We will however try to feature them again with our best offer.

          Cheers
          SE

        • I agree Moots. IF that deal can be replicated, that would be brilliant.

          @ShoppingExpress:
Hard drive deals are always welcomed :)
          After four 3TBs myself.

        • @sasquire: ^^ Same Here. ^^

          Me too! Need 5!

What about Synology DS414 or DS415+ with WD 4TB Reds NAS 3.0 or HGST 4TB NAS drives

  • Can you only fit 1 x 2.5" SSD in this unit?

Any any tv tuner cards available to run WMC?

    • USB TV Tuner

  • any deals on EOP adaptors? tp link av600?

  • i'm assuming the video card on the lenovo is IGP?

  • Any chance of the i5 NUC being discounted?

  • What exactly is in the NUC "kit"? Does it include windows?

    • No, iirc the kit includes a power adapter, where as the OEM doesnt, you will need to provide RAM and some form of HDD/SSD/MSATA drive

      • +2

I think you mean power cable? I'm quite certain all NUCs come with the power adaptor.

  • Must resist urge to buy tablet :(

    The i7 laptop was looking good - until you drill in to the specifications and find it is only the 'HD' 1366 x 768 resolution;

    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/lenovo-b-series-b50-70…

Why even list the full hd in the description, if the laptop does not include it…

It is also the first feature listed in the ad ..
    """
    15.6" Widescreen Display

The optional display delivers bright, crisp visuals in 16:9 widescreen format in Full HD (1920 x 1080) or HD (1366 x 768) resolution.
    """

why mention the following if you are getting just the intel 4400 integrated graphics …

    """
    Enhanced Graphics

Whether you choose integrated Intel® HD, NVIDIA® GeForce® or AMD Radeon™ graphics technology, you'll enjoy stunning visuals on the B50.
    """

    • +1

It's probably just a copy-paste from Lenovo (on which you can customize/upgrade if you're buying from them directly)

    • Good deals, but to put a 1366 x 768 screen on an i7 laptop makes little sense.

  • How do these NUCs dissipate heat? Tiny fans?

  • thinkpad 8 is a really nice tablet, but if they have 128G 4G on sale, i will buy it immediately

  • +3

Limit of 1 per customer is annoying on the NUCs, also any reason why the price linked is $440 before discount where the i5 is $439? Last time I checked the i3 was around $330

    • +1

So that you can feel excited seeing a -$161.00 discount, vs -$51 ;) Price has been hiked during the sale period :P

  • Is the NUC i3 capable of photo/video editing? or I'd better not to risk.

    • it will work great!

  • $35 for postage on the Lenovo laptop? No thanks. How about adding that into the OP so that people don't waste their time….

  • Seems like the NUC is sold out. Had one in my cart but it now wont let me finalise sale.

"Sorry. We don't have enough 'BOXD34010WYKH' in stock to fulfill your order. Please change the qty on order in your shopping cart to a lower number and click update. Then try to checkout again."

  • Help me understand OzB peoples.

If I plan to use the laptop as my main PC…and have it permanently connected to a monitor…do I care about the screen res? I do all my hd content watching on my Plasma / NAS setup.

    Thanks in advance.

allot of people use laptops like this.. i think thats why the industry hasn't moved over to higher rez
Also the fact with windows things look to small with a higher rez on 15"

    • Do make sure it has a decent graphics card to support high resolutions on the monitor. Also note that keeping the lid closed all the time generates more heat and may damage your laptop in the long run. I used to run games in this mode and the graphics card on my dell laptop died!

      • Removing the battery and placing the laptop on a cooling pad with a 20cm low RPM fan on it will fix that problem.

  • WARNING: I have a very bad experience with this seller, they have send me the wrong product and never accepted their mistake.

    • You sure its shopping express and not some other company with a similar name?

      • I am 100% sure its shopping express. I bought Intel Nuc and RAM from them and they sent me the wrong RAM.

    • Hi umandal,

If we send the wrong product, we need to send you the correct item - there should not be dispute over here.

      Can you advise:
      1. Has your case been resolved?
      2. Have you a ticket id & order number that i can look into to review? Please PM to me the information.

We are reasonable people here & if it is our fault we take responsibility for it.

      Cheers
      SE

      • Hi SE,
It did not resolve, I was sending emails to David, I have send at least 10 emails with the picture of the wrong product and every time David told me that he hasn’t receive the picture though. He also said to me that he has check the video of their surveillance camera and all looks good, I don’t know what that means. This saga went for two weeks and then I felt seek of sending pictures and decided not to follow-on anymore and I have deleted all my corresponding emails as well.

        Cheers,

        • +1

and I have deleted all my corresponding emails as well.

That's a strange thing to do if you want something resolved.

Anyway it might be in your email service's recycle bin?

        • @eug:
I do not want to resolve this issue anymore, I had enough of this issue and that is why I have deleted all my Emails. I just want to highlight the issue in this forum to share my experience with this seller.

        • +1

@umandal: You have a rep here willing to look into the issue. If you look at all the SE threads here you will see that the vast majority of us have had pleasant experiences with this company.

I find it odd that you sign up to Ozbargain for the sole purpose to post your complaint yet when offered assistance from the rep you say you don't want it.

  • It seems the NUC has sold out…

  • No more NUCs.
Hi rep, what is the difference in hardware between 34010WYKH and 34010WYK?
I guess the 34010WYKH has better ventilation.
Will you do any deals on 34010WYK? Thanks

    • H you can have msata and 2.5 drive

      • Thanks aldoduco. That's why is taller
