I'd call Funky Fish a backpackers, albeit a very nice backpackers, not a resort.

And I call bullcrap on the original pricing!
For $1500, you can stay at a REAL resort in Fiji for 5 nights 100% (this is not a guess, I DID).

The extra's arent free… you are paying for them in the markup.

Looks like good cheap accommodation (trip adviser), shame the marketing here lets it down.

Travel Factory looks like its a very recent start up travel site. Tip#1 Customer trust is important. Don't fluff the original pricing… keep it real and earn that trust.

Firstly did you actually look at the deal because its not $1500 its $699

What I'm saying is that its a a good deal for that property compared to what you would normally pay as stated on their website and the purchaser has to decide if its the right place for them.

In regards to whether its a resort or a backpackers thats how they choose to market their property http://www.funkyfishresort.com/ its not for me to change that. They have backpackers rooms to private rooms this deal is for a private room.

One last thing please advise how i fluffed the original price: see the direct booking site: https://ibookpacific.com/funky-fish-beach-resort/.

      • Wow, nice attitude.

You quoted almost $1500 as the original price- which IS inflated, regardless of the source you choose to use. The comparison on whether its a good deal isnt what is priced on some obscure booking website, its what $1500 would buy you elsewhere in Fiji.

$700 is more like what you pay for this standard of accommodation on the island, plain and simple… so no, its not a 'good deal' as you state.

How "they" choose to market it is a cop out excuse mate. Your organisation is a MARKETING COMPANY marketing this client for pities sake! You said its a bargain for $700 because the original price is almost $1500, I say its not because no one in their right mind would pay $1500 "normally".

Go search 3 popular booking sites for Funkyfish and you'll see what their 'normal' prices really are, and take a lesson or two in customer service. Dont argue with attitude and take offence when someone disagrees with your "bargain", raise valid points in a professional manner and sell yourself as an organisation people want to deal with.

Good luck with your new venture, and welcome to online business.

        • Can you please show me those websites where you can get the same deal for $699 with all those inclusions.

  • Transfers to the island are $140 return per person alone, via Mololocat II.

Factor that in and I think its ok… Not a bargain though, more like standard pricing
