    Great software, well worth it!

  • All I can see 'review wise' on the net is a few 'how to uninstall/useless program' communications.
Happy to hear of any references to the contrary…

@ 'tghtas' can you elaborate/expand on your comment?

    Many thanks.

      Hi Chris,

It's a firewall - so allows you to block incoming/outgoing connections. Helpful for understanding and controlling what programs use your net connection (or which apps 'phone home' - e.g. registration data, crash logs, etc). It can also help you block some ads on sites in a roundabout way. Another feature I use is the activity log - so you know if something is downloading with some little icons, and can view upload/download ratios over a timespan (graph), as well as most recent apps to connect to the net (in and outgoing). Hope this helps.

      P.S. - Great name :)

      • Thanks kindly tghtas! Yes, poor old Chris :oS RIP & thanks for the laughs.

I'm considering purchasing. Seems it's all about blocking outgoing connections from what I've seen. Which can be helpful as we don't always see what in fact is going back out, thus every chance of considerable slowdown in overall net' speed. It's not at all a 'virus' find and/or kill machine, just a way of stopping any outgoings as chosen by the user & it DOES seem that a LOT of sites can effect PC's and MACs in this way. Looks to have a cool interface though I did see someone complaining of getting 'too much information'. I should add that some incoming/outgoings could indicate (?) virus or trojan activity - but I am no expert on this except to say that those in the know seem to always say that infecting MAC computers is very nearly impossible.

Seems quite a few people were having installations issues with newer version vs Yose' but also seems more apparent that these bugs are being or have well been ironed out. A comforting number of longer term users advocating 'Little Snitch' though overall has me most interested.

        Regards and thanks again.

      • Decided to get it last night tg'. So far so good, but am currently waiting for response from tech support as after opening Skpe have a plethora of continuing 'wants to connect to xxx' messages. I'm hoping for an en mass type fix via terminal or the like.

Thanks for your advice chum, aside from the Skype thing, looks good. Feels better to see signal movements with ability to lock selected ones out.

        Regards.
