Just in time for my family coming from overseas for a visit ;)

  • intrested in this one - $15 for a Lebara SIM card with 30 days unlimited national calls and texts and 2GB of data (3G)
but is it like after 1 month, the monthly charge will be changed ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they use the old Vodafone 3G Network right? Not the new 850MHz one? Great price btw!

    • It uses the Vodafone 3g network which includes 2100/900/850 bands.

      • Nevermind this is lebra not lyca stupid of me lol.

        • Yeah just switched to Lycamobile and they use Telstra 3G now. It's actually faster then Optus for me and way better coverage/reception especially inside buildings.

        • @PLA74: i was going to but i use mms do just went to boost mobile for $10 more with 500mb more a month.

        • @holden93: Yes that is one disadvantage with Lycamobile…they haven't setup MMS yet…I tried to play with the settings for it but nothing worked. Yeah I was with Kogan Mobile before they died off, then went with Boost and now switched to Lycamobile lol.

        • @PLA74: My work colleagues have started complaining about the frequency I change my number.

        • @voolish: why don't you just port your number? I've used several carriers and never changed my number

        • @pasadala: Yeah usually porting your number these days takes a few hours during business times or even less sometimes! It took about 1 hour porting from Boost to Lycamobile (altough technically it is Telstra 3G going to Telstra 3G lol).

        • @PLA74:

I too was going to do the same however with lyca, you cannot send or receive MMS. Not a big deal but agree for the same price, it is a better choice. Once my half price offer ends, I will be moving over to lyca as well.

        • @rxjb: Yeaqh, wish Lyca could have MMS up and running for it's customers to use lol!

        • @voolish: if they dont pay for your phone then they have nothing to complain about

  • Thanks.

  • Just an info: I have already Lebara, can I buy a new sim card and then transfer my Lebara phone number to the other sim? So then I can have the deal for $15

    • Port out to Telstra or those $2 optus sims, then port back into lebara?

      • +2

No need to port out. Just call the customer service team and they will add the credit from the sim card onto your account.

        • Is it just the $15 credit added? How about the data?

        • @OzBen:

They apply a credit of 29.90 to your account. From here, you can buy the monthly subscription or use the credit to call numbers not included in the monthly packs.

        • @rxjb:

and the same would be if i bought the $30 for 60days and added it to my lebara account?

  • Just to confirm… Does the international package mean that you'll get this prepaid service/data while roaming overseas, or that you can call overseas countries from Australia? I interpreted it as the former initially but I have a feeling it may be the latter :/

    • +2

Lebara only works in Australia. The International offer is for calls to other countries from Australia.

  • Ordered mine on the 1st of the month, was hoping would arrive in time for the weekend. :o(

  • did someone get their sim delivered. I ordered on 26/11/14.

    • I haven't received mine. I ordered two weeks ago, tomorrow I'll call them

      • same here, have not received yet. Contacted them yesetrday, no response yet.

  • Great plz do update. I have s3nt an email.

  • Received my sim cards in the mail last night. I received two blank sims and 4 recahrge vouchers. Much easier to use than calling up and asking them to move the credit etc.

  • Unable to contact Lebrera. All numbers are uncontactable. Anyone having any success?

  • Received mine as well. 4 recharges and 2 new sims pack - awesome

  • ***STILL haven't received mine. Thus I've negged this offer.
I hope if any others haven't received you might do the same.

Nearly two weeks now, pathetic in anybody's books.

1st time business with Scoopon/Lebara. Not likely to do any
future $$$ with either (unless it becomes apparent where the problem is).

    GREATLY disappointed.

(contacted Scoop' twice on this, no answer to either query. Lebara said go back to Scoopon)

    • ***Update.

Got SIM card - 17 days after purchasing.

      You be the judge.

      I'm certainly not impressed.

  • Received mine today.
