    Yesssss!
been waiting to buy their considerable embarrassment messenger bag!
Tried it in-store already, been searching for discount coupons from online resellers, and have come up with not much luck!

    Cant wait now!

I'd be considerably embarrassed handing over $225 for a lap top bag? Lol.

Just kidding. Hope you enjoy the bag. :)

      • I was also sceptical about the pricetag for the laptop bag. However, I've had it now since 2006, it's carrying around the 5th laptop in that period, and is only now starting to show signs of some wear and tear.

Given the value of the laptop I'm carrying, less-than 10% its value for a sturdy bag isn't that terrible a deal.

These bags are expensive. There's no getting around that. But I would genuinely endorse them and will buy another when my current one dies.

I have this bag and couldn't recommend it more. It's a great size, great compartment layout and material/build quality is exceptional.

Get it and enjoy it :-)

      • When I saw the bag at their store I never expected it to have such a price tag! But it seems to be the only nice looking messenger bag out there, especially the navy blue with the fluro highlights.

Definitely hard to justify paying $225 for a bag though, but 20% certainly helps

  • They make nice camera straps too

    • Yes I have one and its outstanding fory 7D and other gear

    • Any recommendations? Especially non Industry/Convenient Disgrace. I'm looking for one for my mirrorless, and the padding is overkill.

      • +1

The Popular Disgrace should fit your neeeds

Bags are exxy but worth it. Had one for 5 years and use it every day, still in excellent condition.

7 years here. Someone asked if I had just gotten a new bag and it made my day haha.

Still regularly using a Barney Rustle Blanket from circa 2005.. and it's been my carry-on for 5x overseas trips.

So yes agree that whilst they aren't the cheapest, they are good quality and for some, may end up giving you the best value in the long run.

  • Using mine right now. Has lasted several years and travelled the world.

yeh the lifetime warranty really rocks

  • I bought the 5 Million Dollar bag for US$20 a few days ago from bhphotovideo in one of their daily sales.

Kind of shocked looking at the local prices. This deal would have to be like 80% off the AU price to match that.

    • $20?!!! I bought mine for $120 retail … couple years ago though

    • Bought same one with the padded strap for $60. Second hand on gumtree. It was near new and still is looks great after a year. Really good bag. However I need an upgrade for a bigger bag soon. Maybe the 6 or 7 million one

      • Yeah it has nice reviews. I was actually looking for a bigger bag to fit a Surface Pro 3 and my new A6000 but I couldn't NOT get this bag for the price. I'm sure it'll still get a lot of use for when I just want to take my camera and some lenses.

For a bigger bag I like the look of the Tenba Mini Messenger the most atm.

    • Logged in just to say - where was the post sharing this epic find?

      • I've actually been paying more attention to Slickdeals (US version of OzBargain) lately for the Black Friday madness, which is where I caught this one. I'm always too slow to post things on here but guess I should have in this case!

I bought one for $45 at one of their outlet shop in Brighton.

  • EDIT:..

  • anyone had experience with the LLA 3 day pack?

    • +2

      Ye mate.

Got one this year and took it around Europe as a day bag for 3 months in addition to my backpacking bag. Purchased this over a normal backpack as I wanted something bigger and the 30L hit the sport.

So again worked best for me cuz of the 30L size. Fitted my SLR camera, spare lenses, GoPro, accessories, and IPad. With spare room for water bottle, small snacks, and a light jumper.

Plus had lockable zips which worked well leaving all that stuff in a my hostel doom.

Comfort wise, no issues, all straps adjustable and good back support.

Storage was mint with the big seperate compartments. And a mini zippable area inside the main one.

Before I purchased this, I throughly checked the option of the ASO Outpost as well as that was pretty much the same size for the same price but I thought was ALOT better looking. I was drawn away after playing with it for a while and trying over and over agian in store on the practical side of accessing a couple of times an hour to take my camera in and out while travelling. It just didn't work well for me cuz of the way that bag works. Best to go into store mate and check them all out.

Only neg I had is that when I fully loaded up the bag it gets bulky and big. Pushed out alot. But agian, thats because I fully loaded it up and any other bag would of been the same, if those other bags were big enough to hold all the stuff.

My advice, if you need 30L, awesome bad. If you don't get a smaller one.

      • Damn, didn't expect such a comprehensive report, thanks mate :D

Going over to Asia at end of the year and doing a lot of trekking on foot, planning to use this to carry say 2 days worth of clothes, my surface pro 3, a gorrillapod, SLR + lens and some snacks/drinks. If only the sale started Friday, curses!

        • If you are going to do a lot of trek, you definitely need to get a proper outdoor backpack, Osprey Kestrel 38L for instance.

  • Do you guys think the usual 10% student discount will work on top of the 20% off? That would be freaking awesome :D

  • how does they compare to Timbuk2?

  • +2

just wondering if this 20% off is worthwhile as Myer is already 20% cheaper than their branded website….?

    http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/backpacks-casual-luggage…

    • they dont have the 3 day LLA :(

    • I found some other sites already have RRP as considerably lower than Crumpler - Rushfaster with the Milestone moment, for one. Strange that.

  • dodgy pricing and some popular model ASO OUTPOST green and grey are "out of stock".

  • Best bag for Olympus E-M10 + 3 lenses? Was originally just going to get one of these which seem good when I tried it : http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/lowepro-event…

  • I've been waiting for crumpler to go on sale. I was initially looking for dry red 10 but the website says out of stock. Im going for the next best thing with dry red 3. 50 dollars off is a good deal that Myer and david Jones isn't offering, same with rush faster or surf stich.

On a side note surfstich website also has crumpler stock on sale. Some models at the moment is 20% off.

When they had a promo last month I got a good deal with LLA 80l at 25% off. Just good timing I guess.

  • Just got a Large Barney Rustle messenger bag. So well built, had great experiences with crumpler in the past. These are long term items, buy one and that's it.

  • I went to the Crumpler store in Perth city to check out any lightweight backpacks they had, the 20% off applies in store too!

Got the Lightweight Action Day Pack for $96, down from $120. Still expensive for a backpack but the quality is terrific and I can see it lasting a long time. Really good design too, everything I wanted from a backpack to wear for commuting and cycling to and from work.
