Just got an email from Crown Club. Not quite as good as the recent 20% off gift cards, comes in at 12.5% off, with quite a high denomination. Hopefully someone finds this useful.

That is really terrible. Especially if you intend to use them for a special occasion and don't intend to go to Crown other than that. You'd have to make a return trip.
btw - where is the shop to get it fixed?It's in the Melbourne crown complex, right at the back.
I called first and they insisted I had to come in to get it fixed.
Yeah they like to get you to go down. to change your address you need to visit them, couldnt do it over the phone or online…what a waste of time. Its not like I gambled on my way to find the desk.
Yes it is quite a large denomination, probably only worth it if you stay there regularly - probably too high for the odd meal or drink.
I would be pissed… Imagine if you used it as a gift and the receiver encounters that.
I would be asking for compensation.
i think its the way they stick their cards onto the paper… cos im looking at mine and hoping i dont have that problem

I think you are right thou - if I spent $400 using the card and it cost me $350 i am spending 87.5% of the total cost, so you are correct, sorry about that.I still have mine from that deal, was planning to use it soon.

Just be aware though, I bought a few on the 20% off promo and 2 of the 5 cards so far have failed in the card readers when I tried to use them. Lots and embarrassment and hassle on the night and had to go back to the shop twice to get them replaced. Total PITA.
The staff at the shop were not apologetic at all.
