        • I have kogan emails going to 2 addresses for some reason - one got the USB cable recently, one has not used for anything in ages, both got the email. If you didn't get an email maybe you've been removed from their list for some reason? When was the last kogan email you got TA/Scrooge?

  • Have never made a purchase off the Kogan website before so looks like they are trying to entice new customers like the recent COTD $20 off deal. Will be interesting to see what the T&Cs state when the voucher arrives eventually.

    ordered a few months back a toshiba rice cooker from kogan.
    paid with paypal.received an email informing me that my itemwould be shipped within 1 to 2 weeks.
    after 5 weeks..nothing.
    i filed a refund case with paypal. paypal gave kogan time until 4 of december to reply.
    today is 5 of december, no messages from kogan, and still no refund.
    this is to say..i am not really enthusiastic to take up the 10 bucks free

    • I ordered the same thing - Toshiba rice cooker. Waited 2 weeks but I contacted Kogan about it. They replied that it was oversold.
      Bit disappointed but I was offered a full refund and a $20 voucher to use before May 2015. So pretty happy how they handled my case.

        i got completely nothing from kogan..except for that email informing that the item would be shipped within 1 or 2 weeks.
        they never informed me that it was oversold, no email informing they would refund the money, nothing at all.
        as of today, they still have not refunded the money and i have to go through the paypal refund process.
        kinda dodgy..this kogan stuff

        • I'd suggest you contact Kogan by making a call or emailling them through the online form. They will respond back to you.
          After that they even sent me a follow up email to tell them if I was happy with their response.
          Tell them about your case and you would like a refund. Good luck!

        • @revivor: agreed. Contact them. But perhaps before that, hunt through your email archive. I found the message from Kogan in my spam folder - along with the $20 voucher, asking if I wanted a refund or credit etc. I asked for a refund and got that in about a week.

    I didnt want to be part of the community, i was forced to.. In other words, there is literally no way to unsubscribe from kogan, no matter what you do, they will happily spam you til the day you leave earth, these cheeky b@$turds..

    So ask yourself, is it worth getting lifetime spam for $10?

      • Yep, did that. But then you know how sometimes you have to find an emIl that gets mixed up in the spam folder, open the spam folder to see Kogan Kogan Kogan Kogan..

          create a rule -> anything that matches kogan.com -> move to trash

          Then make a rule to DELETE IT.

          Or move it to a "Kogan" folder.

          Or bounce it.

          Or do what sensible people do, and don't use your main email email address to sign up to online retailers.

        • @llama: thank you ozblogger and llama for the tips, sorry I kinda got off the wrong foot. I dont mean to complain or anything, just putting it out there so someone will know what they are getting into, so maybe they will use a spam email address when signing up. Obviously, i thought i could unsubscribe to anything, and have done so in the past, thats why I use the main email address. I dont know how to bounce it, have heard of creating rules but never successfully done it before. Since the kogan mails are already being sent to spam folder, I couldnt be bother to keep finding ways to eliminate it.

      Click unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email and choose either less frequent or complete removal

        Trust me, i did it like 10 times before giving up, i remember i even unchecked the receiving emails box when I first (and last) purchased from them.

          They're an Aussie company so covered by the spam act - means they must have a working unsubscribe link. Send a complaint to the ACMA if the unsubscribe doesn't work, and they will investigate/take action.
