This might be for Australian Chromecasts only. I have one from the US and I have two offers - Hulu Plus free for 2 months or 90 days of unlimited Google Play Music

    • Yeah, I get the same

    • Yep, another US ccast here with same situation.

    • All of my Chromecasts are from the US, and I only get Hulu Plus and 90 days of Google Play Music

      • So re the US chromecasts how do u get them n does it say ur in the US and thats all u need to do or do u still need a VPN and then u can just watch Hulu/Netflix??

        • I bought them when I was in the US.

I use Getflix, a DNS service.
They're all locked to use the Google DNS so you need to set manual routing on your router to block the Google DNS and thus forcing them to use Getflix DNS.

It's the same process regardless of where the Chromecasts came from.

        • Thanks heaps for the info, think I might look into doing what u mentioned, thanks :)

    • Yep, same here.

      • At the risk of sounding like a broken record: same here!

  • Thanks. Worked for me

Old does not necessarily mean it's a bad movie. No one forcing you to stay mate.

No one forcing you to stay mate.

Maybe we should force him to leave? :P

      …or any deal really!

    • negged for calling me shit :(

And now 167 votes, must be really shitty, aye

  • didnt work for me

  • Got gravity as well.

    • is gravity for free too, should i update the post

      • Yes. Got it for free.

      • How do we get this free? I checked and it's still 17 bucks

        • +1

It appears as free on my daughters N7 but not on my wife's N7. Both are Aus stock but my wife's is 32gb and my daughters 16gb. Weird.

As far as I know Gravity was free on Nexus devices.

        • +1

When I updated my Nexus 7 (2013) to lollipop I got Gravity for free… Could that be another trigger?

  • I actually opt for the 90 days all access instead. Wonder if it stacks using another chromecast. That way I'll get another CC for cheap and get another 3 months of all access when this one ends.

    • I don't see why not, different serial after all, worst comes to worst make another account (i forgot whether you sign into your google account or not)

    • You will have to use another Google account to redeem it because I just tried to add the 90 days all access and got this message:
This special offer is only valid for new All Access subscribers

    Good work, thank EC

  • Redeemed. Thanks

  • Wasn't aware of this so I also got $6 free play credit too. Thanks OP.

Might also redeem free presto offer at some point.

    • I'm in the exact boat.
Just need an excuse (i.e. movie night) to make the rental worthwhile, I think!

  • Thanks OP.

    Got it.

I already have X-Men. Is there a way for someone to use the code i've been given to redeem it? If anyone knows of a way, i'll paste the code here for them.

    • I'd like it if possible.

      • +1

        Check your messages =)

        *edit: error

        Sorry, WTC =(

For anyone wondering how to give your code away: simply copy the redemption URL (it incorporates the code) and paste it to someone else.

  • Cheers, worked!

  • Better to redeem $6 credit and rent movies with it imo. Latest movies are all $5.99 each.

    • You can do both

      • How do you get the credit? doesn't show for me, and I got mine a month ago.

        • I hadn't redeemed anything until today - i had a screen with about 5 offers on it and I could click and redeem both the xmen offer and the $6 credit and the other offers are still showing so I assume I could redeem them as well.

        • I got mine about 3 months ago and have never used it beyond YouTube before, and I only saw 3 deals, all access, xmen and presto. No $6, no gravity, no idea what ppl are talking about

        • +1

@Jackson: Gravity is for Nexus owners, $6 is for Chromecast owners who have had it since launch window.

  • If u are a new user and redeem this do you lose your new user status and from then on future deals are out? I remember a deal not long ago that gave you a few movies from memory or was it somebperiod of access?

  • is there any way to get it without chromecast?

    • +2

On what basis do you think you should get it if you don't own a chromecast?

      • maybe in the future i might get one…

  • great work easternculture its still working

  • Couldn't get it working. Haven't been arsed to try and figure it out, but mine's US and I'm running a VPN for Netflix. Maybe some combination of factors about that makes me not eligible.

    • Mine is also from the US, so you would get the two offers posted above in the comments (Hulu Plus for 2 months and Google Play Music 90 days) as pictured http://i.imgur.com/XLpngkL.png

      source 1
      source 2

      • Yeah, but no movies. So just curious as to why, since as mentioned in the OP this was posted on SlickDeals (US) so it can't just be that it's a US Chromecast.

  • Worked for me. Thanks.
I'm using Aussie Chromecast with Getflix DNS service set to USA region. I actually had both the Hulu (USA) and Presto (Australia) offers showing, as well as 90 days Music and X-Men.
