People who are asking for more than their gift card's face value are just being plain greedy and should be sanctioned! IMO it's totally against Ozbargain's sharing community spirit and helping each other out.
You're in the majority thought on that one, hence why you're on +8 right now, and others are on -8 ;)
You see the market forces at work here, the rules of supply vs demand and price. Don't worry, something ridiculous like $20 x for $60 y won't attract anyone to swap anyway.
I've both swapped for, and away $20 stuff for $10. For me, I'd rather get rid of something I won't use that's not in demand at a discounted rate.that's a bit different though, if you're willing to swap something you don't want at a lesser value to get something you do want then fair enough. to demand a higher value to get something you want and swap for something you know other people will want is a bit greedy though, especially when you got the voucher for free in the first place.
Totally agree, I offered a couple 2:1 trades for things I had no use for but would never ever request a 1:2 or 1:3 trade.
