If you have an Entertainment Card, buy a $200 Big W gift card for $185, use it to buy this, and you'll still have $21 on the card. Essentially makes this $164.

    • Save $5 off RRP!

  • What camera is this?
    Silver edition? Version 3?

It's entry level version. You can't take it from the case and the battery is not removable

It looks like it is last one on this list http://shop.gopro.com/APAC/cameras ….
But looking at the website, it is $169 (delivered), why is Big W charging more, I don't know

(please don't hesitate to correct me if I am wrong)

        • No sir. You are truly right.

      • With those limitations, I wouldn't pay more $100 for one.

  • Isn't the normal price for this version?
http://shop.gopro.com/APAC/hero/CHDHA-301.html (tho it's out of stock for now)

    • Better link than mine :)

I had one in my cart, but I removed it lol, I think there is only one left in stock. Cheers

      • It's in stock, I was going to edit my comment but you replied to it.
If you add it to your cart you will be able to check out plus you will get express delivery (save time and fuel ;) )

So its $169 direct from gopro (with free shipping) or $179 from Big W.. No bargain here >.<

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/173885 should also work.
I'm getting one on each woolworths transaction I have done for past week now.

  • FYI, these were out of stock practically everywhere in Brisbane last week except a few left at Harvey Norman at $179 - I ended up ordering one from GoPro directly for $169 on Friday, and it was delivered today (Tues).

Great price for a entry level and very sturdy camera.

not a bargain - as others have said, it has been $169 since launch from GoPro directly or $179 from any number of local retailers (HN flicks between 169 and 179)

  • How does this compare to the Sony HDR-AS20 action cam? On paper they seem pretty similar to me, and around the same price point - but I haven't done enough research to have a conclusion yet.

AS20 has wifi, image stabilization and 1080 at 60fps

GoPro has a better waterproof case, better colour capture and is a lot easier to find cheap mounts for (though you can get a GoPro compatible adaptor for the sony - just a 1/4"-20 fitting like many cameras)

    retail price is cheaper.
