Why no free bottle of coke with every purchase?

    • Because nobody normal would waste this and drink it with coke.

That's a lot of dough for a blended Scotch.

    • Yep. Personally I wouldn't go for it but I know plenty of people who would.

    • I am lead to believe they include some Port Ellen in it.. such a waste :(

Whilst in percentage terms this might be a reasonably good deal, it definitely doesn't qualify as a "bargain" on a more general "Ozbargain" context.

I appreciate the fine things of life, but even as a "drinker" I reckon that anybody who would pay $400 for 750ml of booze has more money than sense.

Tell the clubbing people that pay $15 a shot…

      • -1

a standard shot in australia is 30ml.
        This bottle is 750ml.
This means that it is 25 shots to a bottle of this stuff.
        25 shots at $15 a shot is $375.
They're getting a bargain at that price and doing it at a club.

except the bar/club wont use blue label? its either red or black

        • I believe he is talking about just a basic shot of vodka at a club, Which is usually from a 750ml bottle that is worth $30 to $50. So $15 (Which I've seen people pay) is a huge ripoff

        • @jasecs:
the way i read it was people was paying $15 a shot for this stuff.

I don't usually take shots of whiskey at a club. but yes they can go as high as $15 a shot for a basic.

    • Try to find out anything to make this Johnny Walker Blue Label so special without success. No age detail. No longer produce in its origin - Sad to those families In the small town where the factory was closed.
At least drinking an inflated price Moutai can boost about President Nixon and still have spare change,

  • Damn it, NOW aldi have the Leffe Rad back in stock, when suddenly two days ago when they had free shipping again, it magically "disappeared"… Why the hell do they keep doing this???????

I shouldn't complain too hard though. The do have beer allowed in their free shipping (unlike all these other un-Australian mongrels), and it seems like I've been ordering Leffe Brune and blonde from them all year with the free shipping offers…

    • this is a rant after my own heart. Stay angry, true believer!
