There is currently no other store in Australia selling this product. This preorder sale is available until midday Monday 12th October.

As I get a lot of good deals from here I thought I'd post another exclusive just for you guys.

Boynq WakeUp ipod/iphone alarm clock radio speaker dock - $129.95 + $20 shipping (+$10 shipping for every extra unit if you order multiples).

RRP: $229 as seen here: http://flatscreenavenue.com.au/boynq_products.php

Please note: We have previously only been selling the boynq WakeUp through ebay - you can see the feedback and prices they sold for here:
http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&f…
As you can see we only got good feedback for this model and it would very often sell for over $200.

This order is being offered to us at a special price and is being airfreighted from Europe. Thus these units will have a European power adapter, HOWEVER we will be supplying EU to Australian power adapters free of charge. All units will have a one year warranty.

The order should arrive late October so expect delivery early/mid November. All other details can be found at the website. If you've got any questions post them here or to the email address found on the site.

PLEASE NOTE: This is for the WHITE Boynq WakeUp model, not the black one.

Cheaper here (not in Oz and you'd need to get a power adapter) - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BOYNQ-WAKE-UP-iPOD-SPEAKER-DOCK-ALARM…

    • if you want to buy from an international ebay seller and go to the trouble of getting the adapter yourself thats fine - good luck dealing with them for warranty though if something goes wrong :)

      • Yeah, just thought I'd throw it in as an option…it is $50 cheaper than yours and adapters aren't that hard to find.

The warranty thing would be an issue for some though.

  • I have had a play with one of these units before. The build quality is very good. Good sound and design. Nice touch for all the appropriate in and out cables to be supplied in the box as well.

  • Do these units comply with Australian electrical standards when they use a power adapter?

    • good question, not sure about that actually. The power adapters with the unit will have EU approvals and the converter will have AU approvals. I will try and chase this up asap.

  • Is this the same model as: http://www.amazon.com/BOYNQ-WAKE-UP-Speaker-Alarm-Clock/dp/B…

As some reviews state the build quality is poor? Does anyone have any hands on experience with this?

    Cheers

    • that is the same model, yes - not sure about those reviews - i gave one to my dad last Christmas and he loves it.. and we've sold heaps of them throughout the year and have only had one returned back with a dud power supply (full refund was provided).

  • I noticed that site that you buy from states it is iPhone compatible, but the PDF information about the item never says iPhone compatible… so I am sure you would get the "this accessory is not designed to work with iPhone"

    • yes that's right - i was a bit confused about it all too. I don't deal in any other iphone related products so wasn't sure if this was common or not.
It will play music, etc from an iPhone just fine but it will pop up with the "not designed to work with iPhone" message.

      • Hmm, not really iPhone 3G/S compatible then
        -1

        • in what way do you think it's not compatible? (just curious)
it plays music, docks, syncs with your itunes (if you use the connector) and charges… i dont know if there's much else it's meant to do!
You'd think if this was an issue someone would have given me negative feedback on ebay

  • i thought 3GS iphone has a different size plug?didnt they get people to buy new stuff for the new 3gs iphone when it came out?it wont fit those old iphone/ipod dockings.

    • nah they have the same dock connector.
Just curious as to where you heard that from?

    • All iPods & iPhones use the same size plug. Maybe it's just the shape of the case that's different and hence some docks won't fit all models

  • As far as I know all Australian retail businesses have to provide at least 12 months warranty irrespective of the manufacturer's warranty (for new items). So the 3 month warranty claim sounds dodgy (unless the seller is based overseas in which case it's fine).

    • See Warranties & consumer rights (ACCC).

Statutory rights have no set time limit – depending on the price and quality of goods, consumers may be entitled to a remedy after any manufacturers’ or extended warranty has expired. […]

Policies that set a time limit, such as ‘no refunds after 30 days’, can be misleading because statutory rights have no time limits, other than what is ‘reasonable’. […]

  • hi guys - i have just been speaking to my supplier for this product and they had given me the wrong information.

It's not the black unit that is being sold but the white one - i've updated the images on the site and am in the process of contacting all people that already placed a preorder (what a fun job!) to ask if they'd like the white units or a refund.

I've also followed on eDust's message about warranty - they are right - all units will be covered by a 12 month warranty. The advantage of selling through an ebay auction (as I've been doing 99% of the time) is you're under no obligation to provide any warranty! I still do of course… but yes, 12 months warranty is no problem.
