Using my Citibank debit card, the final price I've been charged for ordering through the Microsoft US store is $65.96AUD (~45% discount from the full Australian price of $119.90).

There currently appears to be no restriction on the number of purchases (I've bought 2), however you will need to order each separately.

Billing may require a US postal address, I used a Borderlinx address which has worked fine.

The site says it can take 4-6 hours to process the credit card, however I was able to retrieve my code less than 20mins later (through email confirmation).

Discount should be available until 11:59PM AEDST tonight as part of Microsoft's 12 Days of Christmas sale.

      Music prepaid codes should be region-free, just like Xbox Live Gold codes.
      Bought a US code from eBay for around A$60 a month or so ago and it worked fine.

      If you have multiple country payment methods on your Live profile, make sure you're using the location you want when you redeem it (or redeem it on an Xbox console and it'll use the region your console is logged in as). If the subscription applies against your US billing details, you may have problems streaming on an Xbox console etc. that's set to a different country.

          I think it was good timing. There was quite a few listed, but some listings did mention winning codes as prizes for game launches (this was back in November, when all the big releases came out).

          I also searched on US ebay without logging in. I found logging in still seemed to only show results that would ship to here. I msged the sellers of a few that were US-only shipping, asking if they'd just email the code to me, then bought from one who said he would.

    Thanks OP - just spotted this with enough time to buy one code. Tried to buy a second, but when I clicked on "purchase", I was asked to re-confirm as the price had changed back to $99. Bugger.
