Microsoft have the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 listed at a RRP of $49.95 and are giving cashbacks of $20. The headset is $28 at MSY or $26.60 at Officeworks if you can convince them to price beat MSY.

    A bit of credit to the original poster of the "Microsoft Cash Back" deal would be nice….

    I hate reading these piggy back posts for individual items especially after somebody has done a cover-all-items post already.

      I have just credited the original poster for the cashback, but there are 50+ items that are eligible for a cash back and many computer shops, some that don't stock all of these items, so it can be difficult to find a good deal on eligible products. Researching for deals can take a while and since I'm looking for a new headset I stumbled across this and realised the cashback.

        It only took half an hour and a bit of prompting… and Syba still didn't even get a mention :(

          My intention wasn't to piggyback off of someone elses deal without giving credit I just didn't think of giving credit, but I have edited my post. I didn't intentionally hunt for good deals I stumbled across it because one of my earmuffs broke and I'm looking for a good headset.

          @leekatdel:

          Didn't think of upvoting the original deal either did you….

          @singlefished:

          That doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. A lot of good deals come through every day and I usually just skim through OzBargain and I don't always remember to vote. I've contributed deals to this community which shows my appreciation. Did you really just go the vote list to see if I voted for the deal? Minimod.

        • @leekatdel:

          How else would I know?

          Anyway…. enough said, enjoy your headphones :)

    • Yeah I could've separately posted the deals I found, but thought they were worthy to those that clicked into the deal :)

    I'd consider this post a dupe after the original post that applies to all Microsoft products identified as a part of that deal.

  • I already tried this and officeworks are dubious on whether they will actually price match this item.

    • It's their policy though. Didn't get it?

      • i got pricematch (OW - MSY) once successfully in QLD, given that was my only attempt. (For a netgear router)

    • It can be hard to convince them to price match MSY. They are a legitimate competitor, someone can easily go to MSY instead of Officeworks, but usually major retailers have an excuse along the lines of "they don't have the same expenses as our store so thats why its cheaper and why we wont honour it"

      • Yeah that's what i meant sorry for the confusion.

      • bastards got signs all over the store advertising their price beat policy. I'd facebook it. Anyway I went in today to buy it from OW, then I saw that the headset is only online and you have to either go delivery or click and collect. I might just go to MSY

    • Iv'e price matched about 5 items from OW in the past 5 months never had a prob. Although they do take their time and give you the 3rd and 4th degree. Modem from MSY was about $90 off the ticket price plus 5%. Sometimes they try to match it not beat it by 5 just lookout for that too

    • I just tried to get a price match with msy as well. The officeworks store I spoke to (Brisbane CBD) said to call the 1300 number as it is a click and collect item (no stock in store reported online, items will be moved to a store for collection). The 1300 number told me that they don't price match click and collect items over the phone.

      TLDR - officeworks told me I can price match store bought or over the phone delivery orders, but not click and collect.

      MSY is so far away from me :(

    This wasn't mentioned in the big post (which wasn't the first post regarding cashback either!)

    All the officeworks stores around me (western suburbs of Melbourne) have no stock. Better off just going to MSY directly.

      If you do that you can't get the cashback. You need a receipt from a "participating retailer".

      • +6

        MSY IS a participating retailer.

        • My bad .. :). I was looking at the business logos on the bottom of the page. Didn't realise there were more retailers in the detailed T&C. :)

    • You have to order it in

  • -5

    Where does it say that msy is a participating dealer

  • Will OW accept the price match from MSY???

    • you have to buy it online unless your local has stock

  • Hey why negative vote me, I was just asking where it says msy is a participating dealer. Now gummibear has clarified that. Thanks

    • If you get 1 downvote, people go with the flow and decide to join in and downvote you to hell. If your first response was a positive, chances are people would go with the flow and positive vote you too.
