    none at south yarra - i asked the lady there; she said the ipad air and air 2 were only millimetres different, so the ipad air cases would fit. i ended up getting a smart cover (and screen protectors).

      Height and Width of the Air and Air 2 are the same but the Air 2 is 1.4mm thinner:

      Has anyone tried using a Air smart case with an iPad Air 2? Does the difference in thickness cause a fit issue for the Air 2?

      Bought an Air smart case and it does fit the Air 2…. only two problems are:

      1. the back camera for the iPad Air 2 is positioned differently and is now half covered by the case.

      2. the volume rocker for the Air 2 is positioned higher than the Air. The volume up button is now exposed through the hole where the mute button for the Air was and the volume down button can be pressed using the volume up button on the case.

      Other than that, the fit is great, doesn't wobble. The lady at Big W said to hold on to the receipt and we can return it if it doesn't fit.

        Yeah i wouldnt trust the 'will fit' conversation when we all clearly know the air 2 is thinner.

        @ezza: I ended up returning the beautiful tan brown leather case as I later found that the mics on the Air 2 are covered by the case. The mics for the Air 2 are on the side of the Air 2 whereas with the Air, it used to be in the middle of the back. Sigh.. what a beautiful case though.

  Depends on how frequent the big w gets stock.
  The one i went to only had up to air and mini 3 for 3rd party cases and ipad 2/3/4 smart cases left.
