It's good of you to point this out for purchasers, but pretty weak to neg the deal coz one other shop just happens to have limited stock (black only) of them on sale at a few bucks less!

These things are >$100 anywhere else any other day of the week normally! ;)

      • +4

If it's cheaper elsewhere it is not a really a great bargain is it.
You say it's not fair because the other site is only has has it in black but cotd only has it in White. So what's the difference.

        • The difference is that ONLY ONE other store has them at this price, post THAT and it'll be a bargain too, provided their stock is real! These things do not have to be mutually exclusive! The fact that someone else has a bargain doesn't negate the fact that this is still one too!

At every other store I've found in Australia this product is >$100, cheapest on Shopbot is $108 & Staticice is $115, that's why I say it's poor form to neg this simply coz ONE other store among literally hundreds has it six bucks cheaper (if they're honest about $5 shipping) ATM! This is the point you seem to be missing! ;)

          • @StewBalls: Considering the number of fakes out there and the questionable nature of the website listed above I would have to say that this is probably a better bargain than I first thought…

Like yourself I couldn't find anything less that $100.00 with IJK being the cheapest at $105.00

I found this price using staticice.com if anyone was wondering (there are multiple ways of spelling CX500)

      • And COTD has limited stock too

        • …and limited time too; the other store will still be selling them tomorrow.

          • @jong: Hmm, who knows if the other store will even be there tomorrow, they're Neville Nobodies! :p

Err - $58.95 + shipping from some no name website that can't even afford an AU domain is better?

I know where I'd rather spend my money. I had a faulty pair of Philips BT headphones, sent 'em back to COTD and they gave me a full refund including shipping. Would this site do the same? They have essentially no reputation and will probably be about $2-3 cheaper. Given the abundance of fakes around I would put my money with COTD.

If cheapest on SI is $115 and this is $70 shipped, then it's +1 from me.

  • apparently they sell fake ones of these.. although i have no hard evidence to support this statement

  • You can get it cheaper incl shipping and exchange rate from several US sites, but then you have a longer shipping time. A good deal for Australia, assuming COTD actually has the stock that is.

    • Where can you get these Genuine from Cheap from the US?

dude, who spends 70$ on earphones lol

    even 100$

    • maybe you should try some 'expensive' earphones and then decide for yourself.

There is a huge difference between good and not-so-good headphones. I own a pair of Apple in-ear bud phones and a pair of the fake Sennheiser cx300 in-ear bud phones. Not even close in sound quality.

    • -1

I have a $250 pair of ear buds and they are worth it

    • People who even remotely care about sound quality?

I have a pair of Denon AH-C751 earphones that I bought on sale in Japan for about $80 a couple years ago; they retail for $200-$300 in Australia. El cheapo earphones simply do not compare.

Thanks, just ordered it, looks like nice earphones.

  • Can anyone confirm if these earphones from COTD are original Sennheiser? I know there are lots of fake in Ebay.

    • +3

COTD are a legitimate website with a decent reputation, they would not be selling fakes.

      • Thanks … I thought it over earlier and said if they are selling fake then most likely I can return it otherwise they will always get negative feedback. I already ordered one.

  • Yeah its hit and miss. I've bought about 5 pairs of sennheisers over the years. There are articles on ebay about how to tell the real ones from the fake ones

    http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Fake-Sennheiser-CX300-Earphones-on…

(btw cx-500s are the same as the cx-300s Plus accessories)

But if you're paying 60-70 for cx-500s, its a safe presumption theyre real…?

  • There's heaps of these on ebay for $50 (delivered) and under. Not sure how many are fake, and how many are genuine though.

  • -4

minus because you can get MUCH better earphones from headphones.com.au for only a little bit extra

    • +1

      Such as?

    • +1

      Would also like to know.

    • +1

Bollocks! What does headphones.com.au have @ $80 (adding 15% for "a little bit extra) delivered that are MUCH better?

  • Just purchased these…
been chasing these earphones for a while! great price :)

  • CX500 are discontinued, so these will be sell-off units from the distributor IMHO. Despite mentioned by another author, CX500 are NOT the same as CX300 - the frequency responses are quite different.

  • purchase elsewhere for less.

If you wanna do some trolling, best to get in a bit earlier mate! ;)
