      Yep the Xperia z3 supports hi resolution audio and the Z2 latest update supports hi res audio too

      It's really interesting that everyone has such a perception - if you said the same thing about any other product, it just doesn't have the same effect e.g. a big mac from maccas, holden commodore, etc. I guess it's because the Walkman was so influential and of its time…

        I think it's just that MP3 market have almost died out and became a niche market for most people to see it as dead.

        I for example prefer MP3 players over smartphone as equalisers, battery life, less white noises and other things, whereas most people really don't care about those and would happily stick to smartphones.

        I find the market to have changed to cater those audiophiles, those who'd carry around portable amps, stick to older MP3 players. For those people, yeah, these are wonderful products.

        Mm. Big fat MEH to that. Telstra has been selling for $600 since launch and JB has been matching that. Not to mention Sony family friends price was $539…

    I know everyone loves to hate on Walkmans, but if you're after something for playing music and podcasts I don't think you can go past the midrange products like the A series. You get the advantage of not chewing through your phone battery plus you don't have to deal with iTunes, also much easier to run/gym with than a huge phone.

      It may be only selected mobile accessories…I didn't check every accessory…had to rush off to spend time with family.

    Was looking to replace my aging NWZ-A729 and I could never justify the price of importing a F88x series as I hardly use it. The A15 looks to fit the bill.
