Webjet - $50 OFF - No Minimum Spend

405

Webjet sent me this code after messing me around with some stuff… seems pretty generic.

I think its for anyone, but as I don't have multiple accounts I can't be sure.

Give it a shot!

Mod: WebJet have asked us to remove the code as it was not meant for public use and will not be honoured, the deal was already marked as expired as the code is not longer available.

I imagine that using this code would be easily checked.

They would probably cancel your trip if they found no communication history.

But it is worth a look to see if it will work anyway. Thanks OP!

  • I got a code on Christmas Day with a $100 off no minimum spend. The code was XMASGIFT. Hope this helps someone :)

Edit: Just says to enter the code at checkout. Might be able to get something for free with $100!

    • What was the minimum spend?

    • +1

Say coupon is invalid for this…

    • couldn't get it to work either. but thanks for the 50 off. just tried it - hopefully it doesn't get cancelled

      • Will they manually track every booking instead of automatic booking to the hotel system?

  • +1

    Why are they Sorry?

  • There is a $50 minimum spend

  • +7

Please note that Webjet have booking fees and will not refund or credit you with those fees should your flights get cancelled and/or you have to change the booking!

  • +2

Where do you enter the code? I've gone through the checkout process and can't see it.

    • I think this is for Hotel bookings only.

booked a hotel in Bali yesterday with Agoda.

comparing the hotel price between Webjet and Agoda,
before $50, Webjet is more expensive
after $50, Webjet is cheaper by $2

    LoL…

    • -1

I don't understand the LoL. $2 can give you a lot mate ..

  • works at hilton and qt in sydney. :D

So if this gets Ozbargained will Webjet be sorry that they gave you this sorry code?

  • +5

    webjet, bunch of charlatans.

  • can they cancel my booking if i use the code?

    • +2

Not only that they will hang on to your money for a while

      • oh man :'(

  • when/where do you actually put in the code?

  • +6

Don't gamble your money with these clowns because if it goes wrong it will be a nightmare.

They really are a disaster to deal with… But still, with some places at fifty percent off, it's worth a shot.

I never realised how much everyone disliked webjet lol. I thought I just had a single bad experience.

      • +4

No, they're crap to deal with. Combine them with Tigerair and you're potentially walking through a mine field… blindfolded… legs tied together… with oversized clown shoes!!!

But their website is handy to use as a starting point!

      • you are silly enough to go back too.

how many times do u need to stick your fingers in the electrical socket? ( even if the electricity is cheap?)

pretty sure most of us OzBargainers use webjet for their flight searches, then go to the airplane companies website and book it through there - skipping the webjet 'booking' fee.

    • +2

LOL at the product reviews. Even more LOL and the cut and paste template replies by Webjet, thinking that would help matters

  • Thanks, just booked a week of hotels separately with this code.. not bad when used in Asia given most hotels are less than $100.00 anyway..

    Thanks OP

    • Wow! Gutsy effort Mr Jeep. If that doesn't get detected then nothing will. What is your 'fallback' plan if it is not honored when you get to the hotel? Also I suggest that, closer to your stay date, you contact the hotel direct and get them to consolidate the bookings so that they allocate the one and same room. Let us know if you have any troubles.

  • Well i risked it and booked a weeks worth of hotels too…$60 a night at the sheraton in KL is too good to pass up. If all else fails, can always rely on a cc chargeback….fingers crossed
    cheers op

    • And for The Citrus KL at $22.30/night another bargain!

  • +3

Only use this mob to compare airfares, always book direct (or price match).

    • +1

Very good advice because they act as a middle man so when you book your flight with them your not always booking direct so if the airline sells that seat in the meantime your out of luck and webjet have your money.

On many occasion when they try to reserve your seats after you have paid they find them gone so may offer you alternative flights which can be considerable longer and unpleasant fly times, you can decline but you have to wait for your money to come back, use them as a reference for price then try to book direct.

    • Use Sorry code to book hotel, the XMASGIFT code to book the cruise :-P

  • Sorry, the coupon code you have entered has expired and is not valid.

  • "Sorry, the coupon code you have entered has expired and is not valid."

  • OMG… I want make 3 nights in 3 separate transactions, and after 1 booking… it expired… lol

    • Free cancellation ?

  • It worked for me, got 1 night in bali was 78 now 28. see what happens

  • Maybe webjet should honour this to improve their lousy PR. Just check the comments on their facebook page.

  • Can anyone who has made a booking using this code please report back after their hotel stay and let us know the result? From the Mod's comment it looks like webjet have contacted ozbargain and said that bookings using this code will not be honoured.

  • +3

    …will not be honoured

This is yet another very good reason to say G & G F WEBJET!!!

  • +3

Will let you know how I go tomorrow when attempt to check in!

  • +3

On a side note, just rang the hotel I'm checking into tomorrow.. They confirmed my booking and had all my details…..

  • +2

Well.. Finished up my stays… Had a little hiccup on my last hotel… I had 3 seperate bookings by using this code a few even after explaining it on checkin they locked me out of room on the second night as they thought I'd overstayed….

Anyways after providing the booking sheets for the second time, they were very apologetic and upgraded my room for the hassle…. So all up a good outcome and a happy New Year!

    • I booked 11 nights on April at EU used the code, thanks your info,,
