Excludes Apple and Sony. Almost thought I can get some cheap Macs.

i work at myer sydney city and let me just say that theyre so desperate over there, they are price matching anybody, and that means 10% off macs. Just ask and lie and say david jones is offering 10% off, and any sales guy will match it (then try to upsell you applecare). and no im not a rep in anyway.

btw some of teh compters are a good deal because theyre marked near cost and then adding 10% ontop and i think today you get bonus 5000 myer one points (approx $50 in gift cards) good deal.

        lol

Also includes 5000 bonus Myer one shopping credits, which when you include the credits you get from the purchase price of the notebook should get you 3 x $20 Myer gift cards (i.e. $60) if not more. :)

  • usyd, better change the link or something.

Very appreciate for ur advice. :-)

      • +1

The link you changed it to doesn't describe the offer (i.e. that it's 10% off all notebooks except Apple and Sony + 5000 bonus shopping credits). Maybe take a screenshot of the webpage and attach that instead?

A week before WIndows 7 launch! Great! Now all those noobs will have to install windows 7 them self or they're going to stuck with windows vista, not knowing that they are qualified for a free upgrade…

    • +1

theres a sticker on the notebooks that qualify so its hard not to notice lol

  • so its 10% of 1479 ????

    • +1

      nope.

that sale price already includes the 10% off. The Fine Print was cut off from this link.

Folks have gotten the DV6-1244TX for $1150-$1220 recently from Officeworks. So $1479 is too much. See: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1294680

I dunno maybe some netbooks might turn out cheaper this way, with cashbacks/ myer vouchers… if anyone notices, please let us know!

Being Myer, I'd hit them with a pricematch then see if they'll knock off the 10%, I've had the staff at both Myer & DJ's do that in the past, you never know your luck in the big city! :)

my team leader said hed go up to 20% off if needed to get rid of the computers in the display cabinets (they dubbed it the museum cases lol). off the ticketed prices. i think myer headquarters is pushing them hard to get rid of stock. alot of it is below cost. plus new models with w7 due in 2 weeks

      • +1

so you mean the display models? I might try that tactic, but you reckon I could get up to 20% off with non-display models?

Myer Belconnen, Canberra offered extra 25% off from already reduced notebook. Pity I didn't take picture of the offer. I saw it today, (Friday, 16 October 2009).
