Currently BWS Monash (2077 Princes Hwy, Clayton, VIC) has 8x $35 Dos Equis slabs (down from $55); and 15x $35 James Squire Pilsner slabs (down from $60).
Both sets of slabs have a best before date of early November.
As far as I know, this is only at BWS Monash, although I have not checked other stores.

Being close to the "Best Before" date shouldn't cause any change in taste for these beers, right?
As long as you don't let them sit for too long before drinking them, no. The best before date is merely the date that the manufacturer guarantees that the beer will taste fresh up until. Most of these slabs have been kept refrigerated anyway.
