20% Off CloneBD by Elaborate Bytes ~ $118 AUD

30

Will most likely get shot down for this not being a deal. But anyone who is familiar with Elby's other products, such as AnyDVD, knows they are worth paying for.

If you don't want to shell out 120 big ones, you can trial it for 21 days (with Elby watermark on the outputted video.)

Elaborate Bytes is offering a CloneBD introductory discount of 20% on all products, valid until Sunday, January 18, 2015. If you are entertaining the thought of purchasing one of our products then now is the right time to act!

CloneBD lets you copy any unprotected Blu-ray to your hard drive, or any blank Blu-ray disc. With just a few clicks you can choose to make a partial copy of selected titles, audio languages, and subtitle languages, or you can do a straight 1:1 complete copy of your Blu-ray.

Surely there is a open source/free software alternative to paying 120 bucks?

and if not then there is going to be a torrent. I'll do it the right way though and pay 120 dollars.

MakeMKV works well and is free while in beta (which appears to be never-ending). They provide an updated key every month.

Have never had a problem with Elby's AnyDVD, which was bought on recommendation of another knowledgeable user, so can endorse OP's comment on their products.

  • Apparently as this is new software it still has a lot of bugs.
Also, if you're going to pay that much for 2 years of updates, surely you'd go the lifetime updates which is $145 AUD.

    • $118 is the discounted price including lifetime updates.

      • So it is.. My Bad.

  • Please note this will not copy protected discs without something like anydvd running in the background to deal with the protection.

This program will shrink/remaster the whole disc while keeping its structure and menus.

Anydvd HD on its own will copy DVDs and BDs but not shrink. It can copy chapters to an mp4 etc or the whole disc to an iso or folder that reflects the discs structure, but it won't shrink anything. CloneBD will.
