two complimentary Emirates Lounge Vouchers per year for the Primary Cardholder to access any Emirates Lounge in Australia. To use the vouchers, the Cardholder must have purchased a ticket for an Emirates booked and operated flight and on an Emirates aircraft that they are travelling on with their Emirates Citibank World MasterCard®.

    • Well, at least I don't have to wear Emirates socks and slippers when entering the lounge

Chauffeur-driven transfers to and from Australian airports for Emirates Citibank customers travelling in Economy Class on an Emirates operated flight number and aircraft is restricted to once per calendar year on purchasing an Emirates operated long-haul flight with an Emirates operated flight number and aircraft with your Emirates Citibank World MasterCard® by the primary card holder. Maximum capacity per car is 2 adults,

  • Not bad. 40,000 miles won't get you a huge amount though - Cost me 32,500 miles to upgrade one 6 hour flight from DXB to FRA from economy to business, so don't expect to get a round the world trip off this

    • The miles used to be one of the best conversion rates, until Qantas joined forces, and made them screw their Australian customers, lest Qantas FF members took advantage of Emirates' program.

  • Hmm, and I was just looking to book an Emirates flight this week!

What do people think are the chances of completing the online form today and reviving a card by Tuesday 20th (assuming I meet all eligibility criteria?

    edit
Nevermind, looks like it could take a while:
"Please allow up to 15 days to process your application subject to verification and our credit criteria"

The lounge passes will take a long time to come through - like months. They send you 2 lounge passes by surface mail. To book the Limo you have to ring their call centre some time after you have made the flight booking. Then you need to again ring to confirm that the limo is confirmed.
JH Eyebrows above is correct. I have had this CC for a long time, and conversion rates have been quickly going down over recent 5 or so years. And as well as that I used to get 2 Skywards Mile per $1 spent anywhere.
Emirates flight redemptions now come with huge fees etc which they never used to have (These can be offset by a large number of FF miles)
Also see my post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/179026. Miles needed to upgrade increasing yet again, and no upgrade allowed on cheapest airfares.
Also some of the best Emirates airfares that I see (limited search to my areas of interest) include Qantas aircraft. Thus excluding you from Limo transfers (and MAYBE even from lounge access). If on Qantas aircraft you will have to pay to pick a seat unless high status FFlyer. (Free to everyone on Emirates equipment).
So you might have to pay more to have Emirates aircraft to be able to get free limo & lounge.
This credit card was $249 & now is $299. But I agree that $149 is cheap for what you get for the 1st year.
