Free corkage? This is a joke post right?

    • as much a joke as some of your bargains….eg: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/179596 Oh yeah, you moved it to the forum after realising it was not a clever bargain post!

Whats the saving? How much is corkage normally?

    • +16

I don't know but it sounds like they really screw you on that one.

$1.50 at the last 3 restaurants I went to. Food bill was ~$50ea.

So OMG save 3% off who knows what prices!!

      • Corkage for my table last night was $5 a bottle at an Afghan restaurant. Had two bottles, got charged $10. Both bottles had corks (not screw tops). One bottle they opened for us, the other we had to fend for ourselves.

  • No worries, I normally open my own wine at restaurants and politely decline corkage. But I guess for the people that aren't strong enough to open a bottle of wine, this is a bargain /sarcasm

    • +1

How do you drink your wine? Do you ask for wine glasses? My understanding was that corkage was also to cover the washing of glasses.

      • +3

Well a goon sack I'll generally take down a painting and hang from the hook. Then I just angle my head under it to drink.

A bottle is much easier, because you can just drink straight from the bottle.

Can we bring our own food too and have you cook it? This post is a joke and blatant advertising…

    What on earth is this?

Some places charge for water. If yours doesn't, does it mean you have a bargain for us? No.

  • ROFL corkage. Maybe I can screw you next time ;)

  • Joke…

  • Free advertising!

  • For what its worth, we've been there twice: the food was pretty good for what you pay and the service was great.

    • So are you saying you paid a lot and got nice food or
didn't pay much and the food was horrible?

      • +1

The food was good. Price is on their webpage.
