This page shows the same images thus how I identified the hotel. April hosts the International Comedy Festival, NRL/AFL games Apr-Aug. The hotel is located near Queen Vic Market, a must do for tourists and is a quick walk from Melbourne Central (shopping mall & train station) & the State Library.

I've stayed in a few ibis hotels. Very basic but generally very clean and gives you all the basics you'd need from a hotel stay. $89 is pretty darn good for a Melbourne CBD hotel.
