    Difference in construction quality and it's not the same size.
    The HP 250 is larger 15.6 inch and thicker @ 25.3mm. This laptop is 14" 'ultrabook' style meaning it has no optical drive, has a metallic construction and a slim lighter profile (19.3mm)

    However, because the battery life is shorter than 9 hours and it's not using a storage with transfer rates exceeding 80mbs, Toshiba is not allowed to call it an Ultrabook. as it doesn't meet Intel's standards.

      Oops - yeah bigger screen and DVD burner on the HP makes this no comparison for me.
