490

Saw these at big w. Should be nationwide as not a clearance sign.
Usually around $90 so $29 seems awesome

Version 2 is around $90. This is the first gen which usually sell around $55. Still a great price.

Do these have a remote on them?

At the moment I have these, but would like something a little less bulky for running. I have my phone in a zip up pocket, though, so a remote really helps.

EDIT: So this review mentions it has volume and answer/hang up. Does anyone know if the answer/hang up button doubles as a song skipper in normal music use?

I use these with PowerAmp on Android and, yes, you can skip forward/back tracks by double-pressing the volume up/down button. The answer/hang-up button will pause/resume music. I'm not sure if that would be supported by other apps. I've been using mine for a couple of years now, and the battery now lasts maybe an hour. They do tend to wiggle their way out of your ears… probably wouldn't be great for running as there's really nothing much to hold them in your ear and they'd keep falling out. For walking, nearly perfect.

      • Cheers. I may just stick to my Nokia's for now. Thank you for saving me money 😃

You mean "Nokia Knock-offs", if your link is right ;)

        • @strangeloops66:

Ahh yes, correct. Although in their defence, they do have a good battery life.

Not sure if I had 1 or 2 (until they recently broke by the wires in the left ear coming loose) but I could use the track controls in Google play music. Loved these headphones because I could throw them in my pocket, but reluctant after last pair broke..

Great for music but voice quality no good when paired with galaxy nexus. May have been version 1.

  • I bought the same pair for $23 when they were on sale at EB Games. Have not used them though. For $29 it is still a great price.

But u didnt post the deal on ozb because?

      • +2

Because it was instore only and there was hardly any stock around.

        • -8

Well. Your loss. This deal has 43+ as of now even not much stock left at all BigWs. You could have had a hit.

          "Your loss"
Why? Is there a prize for getting lots of votes?
If he didn't feel like posting then he didn't have to.

        • -1

@Brytan: there is no prize nor profit like most posts here because they are done in the good spirit of sharing. The votes are a recognition of contribution to the ozb community, which again is for free to all users. So don't just be a lurk. When u come across a good deal next time, think of sharing.

  • Couldn't find one in Macquarie shopping centre..

Sold out @ QV (in Melbourne)

I got the gen 1 from officeworks few months back and won't recommend them. They do not fit in ears and fall off the ears while walking. No matter which cup you change, they are loose. Turning your head also put one ear plug out.
You can read plenty of reviews for the same issue.
They have nice sound. Spend a little more and buy something decent.

Work well for my ears. I go running with them and they're fine… Had to try a few of the different size buds, but they're perfect. I love them.

    • +1

I used to have this problem with a lot of in-ear headphones, turns out the solution was to try the smaller buds. The larger ones would fall out because they would push themselves out of my ear which I mistakenly thought was them being to small. Maybe this isn't the case with these; but it could be.

Happy owner of these headphones who has different shaped ears to Gaggy checking in :)

  • I got them from office works a few months back, they broke after 6 months and they are too thick for the rear and kept on falling.

    • +2

they are too thick for the rear and kept on falling.

And let me guess - the sound was very muffled? :p

  • It is still $58 in the Big W at my city. Toowoomba QLD

  • Just note that the revision 1 only supports one device at a time.. so you have to repair each time you change devices. I have rev 2.0 and the backbeat fit and they support up to 8..would love a key combination to just switch from the headset.

I also find the rubbery cable a bit of a pain as it sits on the back of your neck and pulls at the headphones when you turn your head…is a weird non-slip material. Sound was pretty good for the money battery life was about 3-4 hours of movie watching for me on the train.

  • 3 left at parkmore (1 x white, 2 x black)
