Lenspen Original for $1.60 @ Officeworks

570

I went to pick up a 3Tb WD Elements drive last night @ Officeworks from the deal posted previously and noticed that they had the Lenspen marked down twice to $1.60, that's cheaper than on eBay for a genuine Lenspen (Or even a fake one for that matter). Very useful if you have any camera lenses as it uses a carbon head to clean and comes with a brush on the other side. I remember buying one for $15 last year. It was on clearance, but there was about 30 of them at Dee Why and I've seen them before in several Sydney stores so I'm sure there will be plenty of stock.

The model I got was NLP-1, but the only one I could find online is different (model LP-1), I think its the older model, but also $1.60

For a $1.60 are you going to complain about being the 'old' model?

  • If you can't find one, here's an even cheaper option!

  • Half a dozen employees with puzzled looks on their face at box hill - nothing there

3 at Kew according to their pda

  • Is this just like a special brush

    • Not quite, they have a carbon powdered pad, so it's kind of similar to using newspaper to clean without all the, relatively sharp, edges. They're a good way to clean camera lenses, viewfinders, etc.

In my experience & opinion, they are also very good at cleaning tablet & phone screens from finger print oils and dirt, etc & very useful to use before fitting a screen protector.
Its always recommended to use a lens safe/soft brush before using the carbon compound pad, as to remove any fine grain of dirt/crap beforehand.

They are worth it at $3-4 for the smaller version, so this is a awesome price.

I got a bunch a long time ago when OW has a sale on most of the range, and still have some that I use.

  • Just tried Sydney CBD (Pitt Street) - none available. They looked it up and closest store with stock was Glebe with 1 unit "in stock".

I admit.. I just came here to know what lenspen actually is.. :)

    • I read it as len-spen and assumed it was going to be some type of calorie free sugar substitute for coffee.

      • It's French. Le Nspen.
