I was waiting for usual deal on iMacs since long time. Just noticed that officeworks has reduced all iMacs by 10%. Just bought one yesterday.
I thought to inform people here. It may help someone to save money.

Well the parts in a car aren't worth the total cost either - but a company has paid for design and construction
You can use that argument for anything - my underwear is a rip off because the total cost of the cotton in my boxers is worth a lot less then what I paid for them
What computer would you buy for $1400 then? A custom built PC is not going to be substantially cheaper. In fact, it probably won't be cheaper at all. 21.5" monitor, Thunderbolt, 4 USB 3.0, wireless keyboard and touch-screen mouse. This is pretty high end stuff on the iMacs.
but what if you could get boxers of better quality for less. than thats called a bargain and this is OzBargain.
@matty718: I think atm, 10% off apple is the best price for Apple. Unless you know anyone else selling it cheaper?

I tried Apple Telephone Sales previously and to my surprise they gave very good offer! Even you don't want to make decision right now they will send the quote to your Apple account and it will be valid for 12 months. Just a tip for those who like customisation.
