170

I have no idea why we need it on PC but it is the cheapest I found.

  • you don't need it on a desktop pc per se but it works nicely if you have a htpc connected to your tv and you use put this on the table to control the pc rather than trying to use a wireless mouse.

Yeah for HTPC I would rather use the one with keyboard and touchpad like K400.

      • I love my K400

    • for HTPC I would rather use the airmouse type controls…

  • Just a thought, but a lot of people have dodgy or even broken mouse pads on their netbook or laptops, then this becomes a good external option.

I have used one myself, and it's really nice to use, top is mate glass. Don't get me wrong, I still like a good wireless mouse too, but some people prefer a good mouse pad once your used to them. Each to their own :-)

  • Good deal considering I paid $55 for this about a year ago, that too, when it was on "special".

    • I got one at full price when they were first released (a couple of years ago I think). Biggest waste of money ever.

      • I could say that about many many things from here.

Is it possible to use it to do handwriting input like tablet?

  • I have one of these (from Amazon, paid more than this).

It's really good for a livingroom TV/PC setup, with a much better range than my Logitech G700s mouse. I use it with a K810.

The unit works well in Mint. A post in one forum I read noted that the two front rubber feet are also buttons, and surmised that the let/right "mouse click" taps were just utilising the feet, but no, a quite gentle tap without clicking the feet works for me in 8.1 and Mint.

Those who will really appreciate this are those who prefer the track-pad to the mouse when using their lap-top. As it's the logitech unified receiver, I can use my mouse as normal, and just use this for scrolling pages, which it does a lot smoother than using the mouse wheel. I can also plan to look into associating the zoom function with the protocol to do so in Mint, and satisfy any sudden urge to do something useful for the next few months with the knowledge that I have a plan [tm].

  • Thanks for letting us know. I bought one.

Murphy's Law says it will now be superseded, without Windows 10 support. I hope not.
