Jeenee Mobile is running a free setup promo for all of their 'SIM packs' for February

Eg:
$25 SIM Pack - 1.5GB Data, $500 calls and unlimited text
$35 SIM pack - 3gb Data, $650 calls and unlimited text

Optus 4g, per KB billing, no contract

They have also dropped their excess data rates for the 'New Plans' (was 25c/MB now 4c/MB).
Their website states 'Same Price, same inclusions reduced excess data rate to 4c/MB'

I keep a keen eye on the mobile market and have been watching Jeenee and Spintel go head to head with different offers lately, probably to catch the fallout from the recent Vaya/LC debacle

Anyway, I think this is a good deal and yes I am a fanboy.
I ticked the 'associate' box again as I have been in contact with Jeenee originally to get the last promo but am not a store rep

    Are these sim packs pre-post hybrid plans like Vaya?
    Paying a month ahead like prepaid, but also charged for any excess for the previous month?

    As much as LC really p@&&ed me off with the $20 retainer, I can't look past them as they are just too cheap. $12 a month each for my wife and myself just doesn't come close to these other guys. They recently activated 4G on my 3G only plan as well.

      you will start getting charged a $10 plan freeze fee per service soon, and also get charged a $20 deposit prob on your next bill of you haven't already

      As Berserkk said once you get the 4G activated you will get a plan freeze fee added by Vaya … so say goodbye to those $12 payments now… so you should see about $60 ($10+10+20+20) added to your upcoming bill(s) …

      If they do that then I'm gone for sure. They have already charged me the $20 per service fee so that is out of the way. My 2 year anniversary is coming up in April and from what I've read that is the time they want you to change. I really need a sub $20 plan as I hate to spend any more when my usage is so low. I use less than $100 of the call value and around 500mb of the data.

    A great deal for the $25 plan for me. But too bad Optus's network in our area isn't really good, otherwise I'd be getting this.

    I haven't kept up with the Vaya/LC debacle … there's a lot of noise in the threads. At first glance this $25 plan looks similar to the Vaya $18 plan apart from Vaya's per-MB billing and the $20 refundable deposit. What else am I missing?
