Honestly though, how much would you base a decision on a new TV on support for 3D? It's pretty crap tbh ;P
My point was around getting the price match. I agree the 3D feature is probably something most people won't use however given TVs generally last for a few years I think going 3D for future, especially If Harvey Norman price match, would be worth it.
Paying extra $120 for a feature that most people hardly ever use? I can't say it's a bargain.
Bottom line, if you are into 3D, then you don't get a non-3D TV no matter how cheap it is, otherwise, don't go for a 3D TV unless it's cheaper than the non-3D TV.
I have the 6300AW , at that price its a steal

So you because you don't know how to properly setup and calibrate a tv, this means it's not a bargain?
Ok. Well the Samsung technician that came out could not set it up properly either.
If you bothered to read my previous post, then you would know that it is an issue that Samsung has confirmed to me: "Samsung says that this is a limitation of their new panels…". "Go for the 7000 or 8000 series….I upgraded to the 7000 series 55" and it is much better. Proper Samsung LCD panel !!!"
So do not comment on what you know nothing about !!!
I am only trying to advise other people of my adverse experience with what I believe is an inferior product. Buy the Samsung 6 Series if you like watching a TV with "Dark/Faded/Fuzzy picture and colors wrong". Have you even compared the other model Samsung's side by side like I have?

I have to agree. I have series 8 samsung tv and they make the series 6 look like crap. But hey maybe they have gotten better when i last bought my tv 18 months ago.

No. I Compared them at home and in store and both were the same.
The 7 Series is clearly better and 8 Series is better still.They just use crap panels for the cheaper 6 Series model (Not Samsung or Sharp would be good). This in my opinion would be the cause of most of the issues. The better refresh rate/CMR and Micro Dimming would also help improve the fuzzy laggy picture on the 6 Series.

I got the 6400AW model from Harvey Norman on Australia Day for $1189. The only difference that I can see between the DSE model and the one I got is that mine is 3D capable. I'd say go to Harvey Norman and get them to price match.
