  • Hey Rep, If possible could you include the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980. Would love to pick one up as a replacement for my defunct 970

    • +1

Can't include on today's deal, but price have been adjusted to $795.

      Cheers

  • Any chance for mSATA SSD's? I'm after a 1Tb 840 EVO unit.

    • Hi lucksmith,

Thanks for your interest, unfortunately i can't do anything on the 1TB mSATA SSD.

      Cheers
      SE

      • How about the 500Gb EVO mSATA's?

        • 500GB is also almost gone and new cost are going to lift our price even higher, so i can't do anything on it.

I still have some 250GB left if you are interested, please PM me.

          Cheers
          SE

if you happen to be putting any nas's up such as the readynas 314.. i'd be looking at buying one :)

  • Is any deal on 500/512 GB SSD? Thanks

  • Hi rep, do the G710+ keyboards ever go on sale?

  • My mates and I be buying the Samsung EVO 64GB MicroSD.

    Rep,
Any reason why there is a limit of 1 only? at least make it 2

    • +2

      Hi Rakddon,

The main reason of limitation to qty will be:

      1. It is a loss leader
      2. There's limited stock being offered and we want to let more people enjoy the bargain.

      Cheers

      SE

      • .. limit of 1 .. Samsung EVO 64GB MicroSD.

        It is a loss leader

How can something that's purchasable, deliverable and useable on its own be a loss-leader (especially on OzBargain)?

        • +6

when that item is being sold at a loss to produce interest in a store in the hope that other (profitable) items will be purchased

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_leader

        • produce interest in a store in the hope that other (profitable) items will be purchased

that works in a physical shop, but unlikely to work online without imposition of conditions (such as bundling, which Shopping Express had done before).
Linky - "In an online shopping environment, it’s much easier for customers to shop around and buy just the item that they want – they might be buying your loss leader but not purchasing anything else in your store."
Shopping Express' limiting "Samsung EVO 64GB MicroSD" to a single item is unlikely to be a genuine loss-leader [but rather a headline item, a limited-stock item, competition deterrent or something they're hedging for a future price increase].

          @AlexF:
Firstly, I am glad that I get the opportunity to buy one item rather than have someone broden the lot of them before I can click buy. Think of the outrcry if they advertised a product line and only one or a few could buy it.

Secondly, I like to think that shoppingexpress probably know what they are doing here.

I think a chorus from the movie Frozen is required here: "Let it go…."

        • @skyva:
And I think of olaf saying "yeah why?" http://youtu.be/FlQsgqbi168

      • unfortunately i typically purchase for our work place and i understand on some things a Qty of 1 per customer is fine due to reasons you have outlined, but when every product including products fairly comparative in price to other sites it makes it frustrating .. :)

so unfortunately in MY case shoppingexpress have lost a fair bit of business by making the qty limit so expansive on your site. I understand you have good prices but only now and again they are a total bargain, most the time they are fairly similar to other online retailers…

like i said i totally understand when you have something on clearance that makes sense 1 per/c to drive users to your site … just don't make it so expansive kinda drives buyers who need more than 1 away :)

  • Hi Rep, any chance of a deal on the asus dsl-ac68u? Thanks

  • for using on dslr or camera, do you guys think it is better to put normal SD or using microSD with adapter are the same thing? (in term of reliability, less chance of error, etc - not about compatibility as i know they will fit just fine)

    • +1

If you are going to take out the microSD from adapter frequently, then No. If you think you will put the microSD with adapter into the camera and forget it, then Yes. However, IMHO it is better to use standard SD card on DSLR.

  • perfect timing, need some gear.

    • Wrong place for that….

  • Deals on 850 pro SSD please

  • The 32GB Samsung EVO MicroSD has been on OzBargain for $9 from MSY:

Ah, Aussie dollar, how we used to love you.

  • I have a 7850, is the GTX960 worth the upgrade?

    • According to Tom's hardware you would probably only just be approaching a worthwhile upgrade. They (Tom's) say minimum 3-tiers higher but the GTX960 is only 2-tiers higher so it will ultimately be your call. I'm running a 5850 and eyeing it off

      http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-rev…

    • I would rather buy a 2nd hand R9 290 Tri-X for the same price.

  • Hows the linksys router?

  • OP,

any free shipping on internal HDD please?

  • I missed the sale! Any chance of a repeat for the MicroSD cards?

    • will extend it for a little longer, please make purchase asap :)

      • Thank You but I'm not seeing the discounted prices. Am I missing something?

  • Great deal, and thanks for extending rep! Saw I missed it just after lunch but checked back just in case …

  • I have heard 'not so good' reviews about the shipping time from SE.
    Anyone experienced that?

    • Well I ordered yesterday and I got a dispatched email a few hours later.

    • I have ordered several things from them and always arrived and always genuine. Every company can have some issues, especially when relying on third parties to deliver, but I have not heard of widespread issues.
