Yeah no NFC on this one.

  • Thanks TRENT86, just bought one. Gonna replace an ageing Galaxy Note 1. Cheers…!

    • That's what I am contemplating replacing as well.

  • Got one, thanks!

  • Thanks for posting this offer man - been waiting for a good deal on a Moto G :)

I ordered one online and chose to pick it up at the store nearest me which apparently has stock. Can I go pick it up now or do I need to wait for an email from Good Guys saying it's ready to collect?

    • I think you might need to wait for the confirmation email. :)

      • Reading the fine print I think it says that you have to pick it up within the promotional period to get the store credit… Did I read it correctly? Because that didnt give people much time at all to be eligible - anyway, yes I think you do need to wait for the confirmation email because I got one this morning…

  • getting mine from officeworks with pricematch

why would you do that? Your miss out on $9 credit :)

Thank you very much TRENT86 for posting the deal.

I also got my Moto G at Officeworks today as OW is closer to my living place and the $10 price beat is an instant save, while the TGG store credit would take more time to pick up in store, have to be spent in TGG within one month and probably require another drive. Let alone that you would likely spend more to redeem the store credit. OW deal is a better bargain for me.

No Probs M8 :) I'm just thinking of these now weekly tech deals which are really good so no doubt there will be another good special you could use it on :) Anyways we all got it cheap and that's what matters :)

  • Do people think that this is a better deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/183642

I know it is $50 more but you get:
    - higher res screen
    - double RAM
    - 4 x more space (although no micro sd card slot)
    - possible spyware (but will ignore that for now)

    • No Telstra Next-G frequency support on the Lenovo.
4G B3 (1800MHz) can be used with Australian providers.
4G B7 (2600MHz) is also ok for Australia, although not really rolled out across the country yet.

Moto G will last a longer time due to the dev community that is made possible with it's Qualcomm chipset. The Lenovo will probably just die and fade as no one will keep it alive in terms of ROMS and such unless there are sources from Lenovo/MTK.

  • I got this "Payment Initiation Failed. Gift Card payment Reverted if applied". However, i got the paypal receipt for the payment. the order hasn't been completed. Can anyone help me??

  • I have one and find that it runs really slowly on lollypop..

    • It's pretty snappy for me but I'm coming from a Galaxy S2 and don't have many apps installed

    • Mine is laggy after the lollipop upgrade

      • I think 1Gb Ram is the issue.

    • Mine is a bit laggy too after lollipop. Maybe it is due the number of apps installed. Anyone done a reset and find the response to be better after reinstalling the apps?

      • I noticed that on mine too sometimes.
I factory reset the phone, leaving just the OEM software installed, but it still lags.
To me it feels more like Lollipop software issues.

Let's hope the 5.1 update resolves these..

  • Great price. I bought mine last week from Costco for $234.99 which was the cheapest at the time and apparently it has 'lifetime' warranty (meaning I could potentially take it back in 5 years if it dies by then and get a refund). I believe Motorola have 24 months warranty already which should be sufficient cover for most people anyways.

Was I meant to ask them in store about my bonus $20? o.0

  • -2

Just wondering anyone try price match OW with the bonus $20?

  • Bump Query - Any honest reviews on the EL Cheapo LG G3 yet?

  • Anyone received the $20 store credit?

    • Not me. When I asked them about it via their FB, they said I would get it by the 5th.

  • I haven't received my $20 credit yet either :(

    • Store Credits will be received no later than Thursday 5 March 2015. The Store Credit will be valid until
      Thursday 2 April 2015. <— Their T & C. Hoping it comes today..

  • I haven't received my credit yet. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm on the phone to them now, and they are saying they didn't have the promotion in February…

    • I think their online team have done a great job. I email them on 5/3 and received the credit later in the evening. Email [email protected]

If you haven't received it guys…you have to call the Good Guys Promotion Line 1300466348 and tell them it's listed under 'Moto G Promotion' on their computers. Geez that took a while to get…hopefully this will save you some time :-)

  • It looks like they conveniently forget about the $20 voucher and requires us, those who bothers to ring up to get the credit. See rdchristy2 comments above.

  • Is there anything worth 20 bucks to buy?

    • +1

Batteries, toothbrush, Usb memory stick, rice cooker $19.95 (if you don't have one), dolphin torch $7 atm in case you don't have a torch, coffee pods $4.99 compatible with Expresso …some ideas

      • *Nespresso

  • Those bbq/ long stem lighters were about $3.99
