  • So uh.. what the hell is in the 'free gift set'?

  • -1

What's included in the free gift set?

  • +2

so is this free stuff only for new customers? what if one has been with them since 2007 for internet and 2012 for mobile phone?

    • Presumably you already have a working modem.
This is just a referral code it seems, though I was looking to switch to TPG, may as well score a free modem too.

    • Sorry, it is for new customer only at this moment.

We will let you know, if there is any new promotion for old customer in the future.

Free Modem wifi router (BELKIN N150 MODEM)

Kill it before it lays eggs.

    • We are the only TPG dealer who is offering free modem on the market at this moment.

  • -3

Title is misleading. It reads that all TPG ADSL2+ customers can get a free modem (existing and new).

    • I'm sorry. I am changing that now.

  • @Rep : No love for existing customer (esp over 5yrs)? Can we get the modem upgrade free?

    • +6

Trust me, Any Belkin product is NOT an upgrade…

    • No love for existing customer unless you can convince the bean counters to assign a dollar value to customer's loyalty.

There's a dollar value attached to a new customer in terms of contract, but for some reason there's no dollar value on loyalty, and usually it is better on your pocket to churn away and then "come back" as a new customer rather than accept any incentives for staying and not leaving.

source: worked for a telco once for quite a long time.

TPG Cancellation process is ridiculous. You need to give TPG 30 days notice even outside contract period.
I was with them for 7 years before I decided to move on with another provider.
I was stung with $50.00 cancellation fees immediately to my credit card, which was my monthly payment to TPG.
Internet was disconnected within 24hrs.So basically I paid TPG 1 month extra payment to them not providing me internet/service.

So before you sign for any of the above deals, beware that you will be stung with ridiculous cancellation fees when you move to another provider.

Make sure you read the below link

    • you really need to read and understand the t&cs when you enter into a contract. the 30 days notice requirement hasn't changed for as long as i can remember. a quick browse when you were getting ready to cancel could have avoided the extra payment. you really only have yourself to blame for that.

    • lots of ISP require that, have you read the T&C when you sign up your new ISP?

  • @OP, you should just offer cash like other dealers.

  • +1

    How is this a deal?
It would be pretty easy to score a free modem anyway if you're a new customer, and this is the most basic and inexpensive modem on the market.

OP has been spamming forums all day (Whirlpool), wouldn't support such a company.

    • -4

Actually, our English website just began to do the advertisement today.

We started to post 2 posts in whirlpool to let people know where are here.
After we understand whirlpool forum's rule, we have deleted all of our posts in Whirlpool.

That was the only forum we post.

      Please accept our sincere apologies.

I am grossly disgruntled with how TPG treats customers and right now I am using tethered WiFi from my mobile to connect and write this because it is taking TPG forever to rectify a simple ADSL line disconnection (actually +4 days). This is among many other episodes where TPG has been supposed to deliver yet they failed miserably, effectively breaching the contract and dishonoring their SLA. One free modem is nothing compared to the hassles that await a customer when they repeatedly disregard inquiries and valid claims.
