I setup a couple of friends PCs with one of these recent free deals and worked great - was the german promotion - and the email that hit their inbox said the subscription would be increased from six months to 12 months in February.
Don't think that's happened yet - anyone recall that offer and manage to see an extension to the period take effect?

It is not unique. So if you want to save the step of signing up, use that key. I did it so you dont' have to.
There was a deal posted late last year for 12 months key. It was a 6 month key to begin with, but in February it would be extended another 6 months. However, I never got the extension or heard anything about it since. This deal here:

EDIT: Actually it appears the key has been extended a further 6 months..

You will have 292 days remaining on BDTS, which is better than the one posted here today (~180 days).

I actually got a different key.
That's weird.. because I signed up 3 times and they were all the same key, so I assume that's what everyone should get.
Can confirm that using "L2WDGZI" extended my one from 68 days to 292 days.
For those trying to figure out how to upgrade, on the BDTS main screen, there is a number of remaining days number on the bottom left corner. Just click on it and you will be able to enter in the new licence code on the "Register your product" screen that pops up.
Just waiting for Mac version. Any ideas?
Also, upgrade older versions for free. I haven't tried it yet but will give it a go later.

This may as well just be a continuing deal that's updated with the relevant code, every week there's a 6 month or 12 month licence for free.
I don't know if that will bring it back up to the front page though. Once people stop upvoting it, it stays buried. The people who already upvoted it can't upvote it again when a new link is posted, so it will stay dead. And after a while you can't comment on old posts.
