    Why would you go wired when you can get bluetooth one that's compatible with both iphone and android for and extra AU$2

        The battery drain of BT is miniscule compared to the drain of the screen, use of the camera and GPS (if you have location turned on).

          yep… hardly noticed the difference when i did some tests…

          i found that when i needed to extend my battery life during the day for calls, turning off data makes a huge difference…

        This is a situational fair point, compared to the battery drain one. Though I'm betting that you'll need to install an app for the button to work. This is most likely something like Pressy but with a wire to a button to the handle.

          I have one I bought from a market while in Asia and it does not require an app. Just plug in, open camera app and start clicking away!

          Oh. Did some googling. turns out the "default" Android behaviour is volume up = shutter. so the button on this stick is basically the volume up button…

        Yeah it works perfectly and expandable up to about 50cm i think?
        On note 3 i just needed to change camera setting from volum up to taking a picture which was just easy. although it's nit as cheap as this deal,i didn't have to wait and worth the money i think.
        Red, blue were available in my area

    I bought one from AliExpress for a bit more and there is one thing I don't like. It is the screw to keep the phone at the correct angle/position. That screw is made of plastic and I don't think it will last.
