Tile, TrackR & PROTAG Bluetooth Tracking Devices $34.99 Delivered @ Weerable

01

We have recently listed Bluetooth tracking devices on our website. Each item is a flat $34.99 delivered, plus the item will be shipped immediately on cleared payments.

(Getting the same item from USA would cost you much more in currency exchange, as our Australian dollar has dropped significantly. Plus you have to pay shipping charges. Plus you have to wait endlessly for the item to arrive.)

Features:

  • You attach one of these small Bluetooth tracking devices to your item, for example, bag/keys/purse/remote.
  • Next you pair it with the app on the iPhone.
  • When the item goes missing, you can use the app on the iphone to track the item.
  • In case the item is stolen, you can mark it as "lost" on the iPhone and this enables anyone in the world with the app to help you search for your lost item anonymously and securely.

If you are more comfortable buying on eBay, visit our listings there instead.

  • Hey op I had a look at your store, whats the difference between Potag Duet ($29.99) vs. Tile for iOS ($34.99)?

    • Hi Ezza, They are similar devices. Duet is two way communication(you can use smartphone to find duet and use Duet to find smartphone), while Tile is one way communication(you can use smartphone to find Tile). Tile is water proof and heavily advertised on the internet(Better branded) hence it costs more.

      • Thanks for the info. Do you mind give us a quick comment re: Trackr ?

        • It sounds more like the Duet is better? as it has 2 way communication?

I'm mainly interested for travel, ie leave it in my checked in baggage and track it if it ends up somewhere else rather than the destination.

Is this what people use it for?

        • @ezza: I actually want to leave one in my checked luggage so I get a notification when the bag gets close to me. That way I don't have to keep staring at the luggage carousel looking out for my bag - I can sit down nearby and be notified when my bag is within range.

I assume the tracking feature can work like that?

        • @ezza: I use the Trackr for checked baggage. The range is limited ( ~<10M ), but they do also help find which neighbour's yard your cat is in.

        • @eug:

Thats a great idea!!! wondering if its that precise?

        • Trackr is also 2 way communication, heavily advertised on the web(More recognized brand).

  • You've previously offered these item at $30, how is this a deal?

Australian dollar has gone down significantly against USD after the previous post. Also getting the same from the USA website will cost you more plus they add $10 shipping on top of it and it will take more than 4 weeks to arrive from USA. We are posting it on the same day and will reach you in 1 to 3 days with postage tracking.

But these were the prices from just a few days ago?

        15 Mar 2015 - TILE FOR IOS $35 $29.99
        17 Mar 2015 - TRACKR STICKER $35.00 $29.99

        • Thanks m9 for doing the analysis. You can see in the cached copy that it is "out of stock" at that price.

  • what is the battery life of these? and typical range?

    • The range is 100 feet. The battery life is 1 year.

Do your research on Trackr before committing. I got two from Trackr as part of their launch last year and eventually threw them both in the bin. One was faulty and was replaced under warranty. Both were unreliable as locaters: short range, false notifications, no notifications, etc. Read the review comments for the Trackr app on Google Play Store.

    • Hi DonkaDonk21, there have been significant and constant changes to the Apple and Android apps since its launch and it is much stable and performs much better now.

  • There are useful articles and videos on our blog regarding these devices:-

  • hey op.. just confirm this..

is the ios tile good for travel - ie placing in luggage then checking it in. If it ends up in another country will the app show were it is? like a map with a location?

I know your referring us to all sorts of pages and links but i can't get the answer I'm looking for.

    • Hi Ezza,
      1. It is good for travel.
      2. Say that you are travelling to Europe with a Tiles luggage and you end up in Europe while the luggage ends up in USA. Then if any person with Tile app on his smartphone goes past your Tiled Luggage in USA, you will get the notification on your phone.
      3. Hence these Bluetooth devices rely on the Crowd GPS network.
      4. You would be amazed to see how many people are in this crowd GPS network. Pls check the map below:-
