For the love of the god of noise, please don't just choose the most expensive one out the pack and thinking it is the best amongst them.
QC25 is the latest model released months ago to replace QC15.

QC3 should have a replacement model coming up soon. That's my guess. it has a higher price tag just because it comes with the rechargeable battery and it sits over the ears rather than covering them.

it sits on them, instead of over them. i know that's what you meant, but just wanted to clarify for people as 'on ear' (QC3) and 'over ear' (QC25) are the industry terms.

anyway, yeah, don't buy the QC3. they are old and they likely have the worst active noise cancelling of the bunch.

Not to mention the QC3 uses a proprietary lithium battery, while the QC25 and QC15 use a standard AAA cell.

I can personally vouch for the Qc20 for those who prefer in ears. Noise cancelling on these are on par with the Qc25

I concur. I have the QC20i, bloody fantastic piece of kit especially when using it on a plane, blocks a lot of the noise out.

Qc25 can still play doof doof when the batt runs out and you have no spare on a 20hr flight, just no noise cancelling. Qc15 will be dead in the water unless you bitz a AAA from your kids peppa pig toy when they sleep. ;)

    • Its just as easy to carry the spare battery in the case and replace when it dies..

      • Agree, the case is small but handy holds a slot for spare AAA.

I fly a lot. As practical as that sounds sometimes one forgets to change out the flat ones. Or a family member swaps them out for the tv remote without letting you know.

  • I bought mine the other month from JBHIFI for $330. Just came in, asked for the best price and picked it up

  • Any tips on where I could buy the charger component for the qc20i headphones. I was given a pair, but the person had lost the battery charger, so they've been flat. I tried eBay, but I must be searching the wrong thing…..!

I bought mine in the us so maybe different.
But mine charge from a standard micro USB. $1 cable of eBay plugged into a PC usb port works fine.

      • Thanks, will give this a go, I didn't know it was just a standard micro USB :-)

    • Bose customer support are excellent. If you have twitter send them a tweet and they always reply (if you don't have twitter, reply and I'll tweet them asking for their customer service email)

    • These normally just come with a USB cable, not a physical charger. You can also just plug the USB cable into an Apple Iphone/Ipad USB wall charger. I checked with Bose customer support and they confirmed this was OK, easier when travelling if you don't have access to a USB port.

      • Thanks, it's the USB cable that I'm looking for, will try the suggestion of a micro USB above.

  • so glad i got the qc20i back when DJ had them for $210. not sure if I'd pay 330 for them though…

  • Thanks mate got the Bose QC 25 for $344.
Not as sweet as the ~$320 in Nov, but still palatable.
