[Edit: price has dropped another $10]

Samsung Galaxy S5 4G 16GB Black: $449.95

International stock, shipping is $38.95 = $488.90

White model [here])http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_412970_Samsung_Galaxy_S5_16GB_G900I_LTE_4G_Smart_Phone_white)

This is the G900I international asia model, so it has a lot of mobile frequencies:

4G LTE: 700 850 900 1800 1900 2100 2600
3G: 850 900 1900 2100
GSM: 850 900 1800 1900

I was holding out for the S6, but with pricing looking to be $900+ I couldn't justify holding out.

Cheapest 4G model on static ice by about $30

If you are after Australia stock, check this ozbargain, of $599 + shipping (this grey import is about $130 cheaper).

  • $500. How much of a saving is that?

Need to balance the savings against the risks.

  • Kogan had these for $459 only recently.

    That was with Free Shipping.

  • whats the difference in a grey import i take this is one and local stock, warranty??
Say i might not be in the country much longer having a oz warranty might not matter so why get a local one vs same one of these cheaper

    • whats the difference in a grey import i take this is one and local stock, warranty??

      Yes. Two year warranty.

Say i might not be in the country much longer having a oz warranty might not matter so why get a local one vs same one of these cheaper

True. However, you may have absolutely no warranty (depending upon the country to which you are going).

    • Just want to add to A3Australias comment - Be careful when grey importing phones, as some models don't have all the mobile frequencies (3G/4G), Although this is more a case of making sure you are getting the right product, rather than a grey import issue.

With Samsung phones you just have to look at the G900X part of the model, that X affects the mobile frequency.

  • Cheapest 4G model on static ice by about $30

A $30 saving? Local Australian model would have the Two Year SAMSUNG Australia Warranty and the Two Year Australian Consumer Guarantee.

    • $30 saving on another Grey Import.
