      The process is that the order needs to be assigned to a store first. From my experience, the store doesnt see the order until this happens. So you likely need to wait for the email stating that the order has been assigned before contacting the store. This email comes after the ebay & paypal email confirmations. Once this happens even if the order was for delivery they have flexibility of giving it to you right away.

      I am still seeing stock for the white in a few nsw stores. perhaps its by state? Try choosing pickup from store, and see if you can order. Black now out of stock.

      I bought my wife the phone so have access to it now, if there is a way I can tell what cpu it is let me know and I can confirm.

    I pulled the trigger and ordered one. Hopefully it gets 5+ hours ost for my usage. It sucks it the s805 version, however the price is too good to ignore, especially with the falling Australian dollar. Okay better go and pick it up now. :)

    Just got a call from the good guys store I had selected for pickup. Apparently they over committed and they have no stock for me. They will order it in but will take 1-2weeks. Bleh. She couldn't see stock in any other stores either. It's a birthday present, so it won't make it now unless I get it in the next 4 business days. Oh well. I suspect there will be quite a few such calls as stock levels don't match exactly what's in their system.

    EDIT: another twist! I asked them to order it to my closest store since I had to wait anyway, so she had to call them to transfer the order or something. Turned out they managed to find an extra one! So it's now ready to pick up from the store I wanted to begin with, yay. I will go right away before anything else happens!

    Dick Smith called me about my Note Edge… out of stock, even though I bought it at 9am this morning.

    It STILL shows as in stock now - but take this as warning to those who are thinking of purchasing it now.

    They don't know when a new shipment is coming in, possibly in a month at their guess.

      I could have gotten the edge if I wanted to - but end of the day I'd much rather the note 4. Edge is bigger, easier to drop, less options for screen protectors and cases, and doesnt look as nice as the note 4 in my opinion.

      definitely worth it for the note 4 at ~650

    You can grab a Note 4 Black from Kogan for $756 inc the 20% discount and the 2% cashback. It is more expensive than the DSE version and is a grey import but may be enough to entice someone who missed the initial cheaper local stock.

    Not sure if this happened for anybody else but it seems slightly dodgy.

    Ordered the Edge from Dick Smith and theyve sent an invoice for the reduced amount obviously with GST calculated on the reduced invoice amount. Was going to be doing a TRS claim but now Gst refund will be on a lower amount … its not a large amount but still

    Anybody think thats not right ?

    The Ebay code should be treated like a discount voucher and the full amount invoiced. Did anyone get a Good Guys invoice and what was the amt ?

      Dick Smith will get full payment for the item and the difference is paid by ebay to Dick Smith. So in theory Dick Smith should provide you invoice on full item price.
      i bought two items from TGG on ebay last sale and they gave me invoice for full amount.

      I dont know about the specs in fine detail. But you might want to consider the following:

      kogan is grey import. if problems arise you have to post item away at your cost.
      Goodguys you can walk into store and ask for warranty repair/replacement provided you show proof of purchase. AND Goodguys will give you 2 years warranty as it's AUS stock.

      Obviously depends on many many factors ie. warranty/ specs/ colours/ personal choice

      Nah I disagree
      Had Galaxy S5 from them and had problem with the screen after 2 months
      Sent them an email, took 1 day to get a postage label from them to send it back to them (had to send some photos and short video clip of the problem)
      took 1 week from them
      got a new unit!
      I know some people had issues with them but I just wanna let you know that I personally had no problem :)
      I had a problem with Dick Smith once where they lost my tablet and took 3 months to get a refund haha
