You can get a 2tb portable usb3 Toshiba drive for $111 via DS eBay store with the 20% off and 1.5tb portable usb3 Seagate for around $78 via GG's eBay store after the 20% off.

    • I personally don't trust the Seagate drive due to data loss / hardware failure in the past… The 2TB Toshiba Drive is a good deal though.

Fair enough. I personally haven't had any issues with any of my portable drives, Seagate, WD, Toshiba and Samsung.

My Seagate was bought at office works maybe 2 years ago $59 or $69 for the 750gb which is a 7200 rpm barracuda inside (now sitting in my PS3).

It is at your peril to trust any drive. They can all be unreliable, and you generally need to pay more to reduce the risk of unreliability (e.g. SAS drives are engineered to last longer, but you pay significantly more). Personally, I don't go by brand. I go by specs, and then make sure I regularly back up, for the day when the drive fails. (WHEN, not IF..!)
