  • There is a similar promotion (S$20) for passengers transiting through Changi, whose point of origin is one of the following:

Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates or Vietnam

  • Looks like they've removed some countries? I claimed one from Amsterdam at the beginning of this year, but no longer on the list…

EDIT: ah, nevermind - Netherlands. That region always confuses me :-)

  • thx op. off to india soon for work, where do we pick up the voucher?

    • Just look for the GST refund counter. It's pretty close to that in each of the terminals. From there, try to look for the queue :-P

  • "For passengers eligible for S$40 CDV, you would receive a second S$20 CDV which will be valid for one-time use to redeem Liquor, Tobacco, Perfumes or Cosmetics purchases only."

    • Basically what that means is that of the S$40 total that you're eligible for, S$20 (half of the S$40) can only be spent at one of their Duty Free stores.

  • Children must be above 2 years old at the point of ticket issuance and have their own seat, which means that their seat is not shared with their parent / guardian.

This pisses me off with SIA. Paid for a seat for my son (19 months old). Can't have a krisflyer account as he's under 2 (solved that by getting a velocity account), but then this as well?

    • If that's the case then your son would have a valid boarding pass, whether he's 2 yet or not. I reckon you could get away with it - don't think they'll ask for a birth certificate or proof of age ID (EDIT: well there's the passport, my bad. But anyway… valid ticket).

    • My 12 months old also got $40 all you need is passport and boarding pass. I done this twice already ( 12 months and 15 months ).

Next week we will be travelling again. Baby is 19 months now.

NB: our SQ ticket is first class. Not sure this related or not
