      Don't know about 4 but TVPad 3 has Japanese TV shows as well.

        This is GCN edition. Only Chinese, HK and TW content.

        There's an app for Korean content (which originally said to be not avaialble - but i have it in the appstore so I'm not sure). There's no Japanese content however.

    Can anyone tell whether TVpad 4 can receive English Premier League live ?

    I read somewhere that says WELTV can, not sure about TVpad 4.

      WELTV - YES as they have live channels.

      Depends on which channels you're referring to. TVPAD4 GCN has some live english channels. Not a sports buff, so didn't put much attention.

      The Hong Kong ones may have subtitles in some of their broadcasts, however the Mainland Chinese ones are definitely no.

    I wonder if there is a work around the upcoming new anti-piracy laws…I know there will be VPN and other masking with IP for accessing websites.

    I heard from some dealers that they are concerned that these boxes will be blocked…caused I asked would I get a refund if it gets block and they said buy at your own risk

    What are the chances these boxes will be blocked one day ? It seems they have been on the market for years, or may be they have some sorts of agreements with the TV stations ???

      They have been in lawsuits for ages, but doesn't look like they will be bought down any time soon. Once server goes down and another one goes up, i believe they are using a P2P network sort of infrastructure.

      Look at it this way, if you get to use the TVPAd for half a year, it cancels out all the other methods of getting TVB in australia. Most legit packages are around $50 a month.

      I have WELTV and TVPAD4. WELTV has more drama series + movies, including those of legacy ones - but it's quite unstable and I seldom able to watch a full movie without having issues. For whatever issues, it seems WELTV is very susceptible to the DNS attack mob.

      TVPAD4 is a lot more stable with HD content being delivered without much problems. It's my personal view that WELTV seems to be something that still to mature while TVPAD4 system are matured and stable.

      As long as it's GCN edition, it'll support HKTV and TVB live channels (and drama and movies). I have the GCN.

          I can see HBO, CNN and BBC live channels. Not sure about Korean live channel as I didn't go looking for it. I know there is Korean VOD tho.

          Japanese VOD - no
          Japanese live channel - No idea…(sorry)
