Thanks OP. Will apply for this after I have cancelled the Coles one in the next few days. Didn't apply for the Real one as the Coles one is still active. This one looks a little easier to cancel than the Real one.
Assuming the gift card comes out around the 35 day mark, paying fortnightly and 3 lots of premiums for 42 days coverage at the minimum $100,0000 coverage would cost me $23.25 for the $100 gift card.

na mate u just hve to have policy for 35 days.
what personal details? u have to answer some questions about your health and then your regular contact and address deteails
Name, Surname, Date of birth, address, phone number, credit card number and expiry, health status, medicare number? etc
no dont need medicare number.

Wonder what they actually check I was denied health insurance by Colonial first state as I had a heart murmur as a child, even though my heart was cleared after they requested an exam I was still denied, wonder if they approve then deny payment if you die? Seems a little easy
they would approve then deny payment if u were found to have lied in your application.
you probably can still get a policy through them but you would have to apply differently (not the basic online process) and your premiums would be higher.

Easy to cancel Coles Life Insurance. A phone call telling them that your financial circumstances have changed will do the trick, had no problems at all.
For cancelling this NAB one, is phone call or sending them a message better?

nope not yet gona give them a call now, i noted it said "at least 35 days after membership.
No gift card and into my second month of premiums…hopefully it arrives soon otherwise it will be a minimal benefit as my premiums are high (high risk!).
Will get within 3 weeks they say. Its slow due a huge unexpected demand.
