Well, I was thinking about getting one of these for my mother (She owns a clothes shop) during Black Friday.
So I've got notification from CamelCamelCamel.com just then.
It is the best price it have ever been on Amazon apparently (According to CamelCamelCamel).

I've actually contacted Datacolor about worldwide warranty October last year,

I am planning on buying Datacolor Spyder4Elite S4EL100 Colorimeter for Display Calibration from Amazon for my mother back at home. Problem is, she lives in Korea and I am worried about warranty issues.
Is the warranty worldwide?
If not, then how much would/should I expect to pay for the product to be fixed, if it breaks down?

Their response was:

Hi ____, you will have a 1 year warrantee since it was purchased in the US. In that time, if something becomes defective then the Spyder will be replaced at no cost. Just contact us and we will take care of it for you or your mother.

Cheapest one from staticICE
DigiDirect, AUD $207.00

I was thinking about getting one of these for my mother (She owns a clothes shop)

Still trying to decide whether that dress is blue & black or gold & white? This is one way to tell, I suppose. :-)

    • That dress was photographed horrendously was my conclusion.

On serious note, it probably is caused by colour constancy. Poor cognitive psyc students, they'd see that dress in their class at one point now.

  • I've always been curious as to how much of a difference a calibrated screen could make. I've been happy with a present (of all things) on my VT60.

This is cheap enough to give it a swing.

    Thanks OP.

  • Tempting …but its probably quite difficult to learn how to calibrate a TV properly.

    • I think this is more designed for computer monitor calibration rather than TV's. No mention that I could see of TV's.

  • do you know how does Datacolor Spyder4Pro S4P100 compare to Datacolor S5P100 Spyder5PRO?

Here's another one - no idea what it's like or how good the price is (but it's $120 shipped)
